About this property

Set amid Sicily’s rolling hills with the sound of goat bells across the countryside, Villa Colombrina is a newly built holiday home that feels instantly calming. Modern lines sit comfortably within the landscape, while expansive windows draw the eye towards the sea and the softly contoured scenery beyond. From the moment you arrive, there is a sense of space, light and stillness that encourages you to slow down and settle into the rhythm of the surroundings.

Inside, the villa is thoughtfully designed for shared living without ever feeling crowded. The open plan living area flows into a generous kitchen centred around a sociable island, ideal for long meals together. High-end appliances, ample workspace and seating for eight make cooking a pleasure rather than a chore. Contemporary furnishings are softened with carefully chosen pieces from the past, giving the interiors warmth and character. All three bedrooms are calm and restful, with good quality mattresses and supportive pillows, alongside two well-appointed bathrooms (one en suite) featuring modern showers and refined finishes.

Outdoor living is at the heart of life here. The terrace opens out to an infinity pool overlooking the fields, offering ever changing colours from morning light to dusk. Sun loungers, a dining table and outdoor seating make it easy to spend entire days outside, whether reading quietly, sharing lunch or simply listening to the sounds of nature carried on the breeze. The setting is wonderful, with open views that remind you how close you are to both countryside and coast.

In north west Sicily, Villa Colombrina enjoys a rural position with views towards the sea. The pretty village of Scopello lies a short drive away, known for its fortified baglio, old tuna fishery and striking coastal scenery. Guidaloca Beach is even closer, while Castellammare del Golfo offers an authentic slice of Sicilian life.

For days out, the Zingaro Nature Reserve, San Vito Lo Capo, Trapani, Erice and Palermo all sit within comfortable reach, offering a rich mix of landscapes, history and local life that make every stay here deeply rewarding.

In north-west Sicily, Villa Colombrina enjoys a wonderfully rural setting just inland from the coast, around an hour from Palermo and Trapani-Birgi Airports. This location offers an authentic Sicilian experience whilst remaining within easy reach of some of the region’s most characterful towns and beaches.

The pretty village of Scopello (7km) is a natural first stop, famed for its historic tonnara and dramatic sea stacks rising from crystal-clear waters. Even closer, it’s a short drive to Guidaloca Beach with turquoise-coloured water and summer loungers and umbrellas to rent. A little further in the other direction, Castellammare del Golfo (11km) offers a livelier contrast, with a bustling harbour and a wide choice of restaurants lining the waterfront, ideal for relaxed evenings in an authentic Sicilian setting.

The surrounding region is rich in natural beauty, making it perfect for days spent exploring the outdoors. The Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro is a highlight, with its unspoilt walking trails, hidden beaches and panoramic coastal views. At the very top, San Vito Lo Capo (40km) is known for its pale sands and clear, shallow waters, making it a rewarding day out for those seeking beautiful scenery – combine with a lunch in one of the village’s lovely restaurants specialising in couscous.

For cultural exploration, several historic towns lie within comfortable reach. Trapani (33km) charms with its elegant old town, salt pans and ferry links to the Egadi Islands, while Erice (32km), perched high above the coast, captivates with medieval streets, stone houses and far-reaching views. Further afield, Palermo (77km) offers a vibrant blend of grand architecture, lively markets and rich Sicilian history, providing an unforgettable city day trip just over an hour by car.
