About this property

Nestled in the verdant hills, between the mountains and the sea, you will find Villa Senese. This spacious, beautifully decorated home offers accommodation for up to 14 guests within expansive, oasis-like grounds. This luxurious home is the ideal base for a wonderful escape in the Italian countryside, where you can make memories with your loved ones.

Offering staggering views over the surrounding hills and scattered medieval villages, Villa Senese boasts a fantastic location. In addition to this, the house itself has everything you could possibly wish for. There are 7 bedrooms, stunning living spaces and fantastic amenities, which include a games room and a gym.

Outside, you will note the original rustic brickwork and shutters on the windows, and as you step inside, you can see period features such as fireplaces and old wooden beams. These historic details have been carefully preserved, and each of the living spaces and bedrooms have been tastefully and skilfully decorated to accentuate the home's period charms while offering spaces which fit modern family life. Firstly, you will enter the lovely living room with comfy sofas and armchairs, plus a TV with streaming services available. Winding around, you will come to a contemporary, fully-fitted kitchen which has a breakfast table and all of the appliances you could desire. You can opt to dine in the kitchen or in the formal dining room, which looks over the garden.

The main villa offers six bedrooms to guests; the majority of these bedrooms can be set up as a double room or as a room with twin beds, meaning this home can be flexible to meet the requirements of your group. Each room has its own colour palette and personality, with quirky details such as velvet sofas or record players in the rooms. The bedrooms also have an en-suite bathroom or share a well-equipped family bathroom.

The home's final bedroom is located in an annexe in the grounds. This cosy nook is perfect for grandparents or couples who want a little privacy. There is a second outbuilding just next to this, which houses the gym and a games room with a pool table and arcade games. The older kids are sure to claim this space as their own!

Outdoors, the wonderful features continue as there are children's climbing frames, archery equipment, a driving range and a trampoline out here to keep everyone active and entertained. As evening falls, there is even an outdoor cinema screen, so you can grab some popcorn and settle down to watch your favourite films together on the lawn. The leafy, spacious garden also has a private swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna to enjoy a spa experience from the comfort of the villa.

If you wish to get out and see some of Le Marche's idyllic towns and villages, there are plenty close by. Montappone and Montegiorgio are both under 6km away, while the beautiful village of Servigliano is 12km away, so you will not need to drive far to find a great range of historic attractions, shops, markets and restaurants.

As well as offering an array of inland towns and enchanting walking routes through the mountains, Le Marche has a long coastline lined with sandy beaches. The closest beaches to the home are around 33km away and many are backed by eateries and bars, so you can tuck in to a delicious meal before driving back to the villa.

Le Marche is a wonderful part of Italy and is the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday. Surrounding the home, you will see miles and miles of green, undulating hills dotted with scenic walking trails. While staying here, you will have plenty to see and do as you can drive to long sandy beaches and ancient hill towns with ease.

Villa Senese enjoys an idyllic location where you can escape the hustle and bustle of life back home and connect with nature. There are walking routes on your doorstep, including an hour-long circular walk around the extended property, where you will discover waterfalls and streams. You can also access mountain biking trails from the home and there are plenty more outdoorsy opportunities nearby such as horse riding, tennis, kayaking, golf and olive oil tasting. A little further away from the house, you can visit the Aso River to participate in walks or water sports and the Sibillini Mountains for some fantastic hikes.

If you would like to visit some of the local towns and villages, there are many options. One of the closest is Montappone, which is only 4km away. This small town has a claim to fame as the hat-making capital of Italy; in fact, 70% of all straw hats in Italy are made here. When in town, you can learn more about the history of the industry in the area by visiting the museum or even try your hand at hat-making by booking a workshop. Many shops are selling these hats, too, and they make great gifts. There is also a preserved historic home called the House Museum and a range of shops and eateries in town.

Another nearby town is Montegiorgio, which is 6km away. This gorgeous town is perched on a hillside and offers staggering panoramic views over the countryside below. The town comprises medieval buildings such as churches and the town hall, a 19th-century theatre and an 18th-century palace. This is a lovely town to explore on foot, and you will find plenty to see and do here, as well as shops, market stalls and restaurants.

12km by car, is Servigliano, which is a stunning village, voted as one of Italy's most beautiful. There are lots of fascinating sites in the village, such as an 18th-century castle, a historic prisoner-of-war camp, a convent, plus ancient churches and palaces. You can stroll around the picturesque streets and visit these attractions and potter around the shops and restaurants at your leisure before enjoying dinner in a local trattoria.

Though the villa is set inland, within Le Marche's open countryside, you can also drive to one of the sandy beaches which line the Adriatic Coast. Lido di Fermo is one of the closest beaches to the home at 33km away, meaning you can be sitting on a pristine beach after a 40-minute drive. There are many more beaches available along this stretch of coast, whether you are searching for a bustling beach with games and water sports on offer or prefer a quiet cove for sunbathing in peace.

I stayed here for a week with my friends and we had a great time. It has enough things to do, it has a swimming pool and a jacuzzi for example. It also has a beautiful view at the mountains and all the rooms have different designs and multiple fans. I recommend this one!

I stayed here for a week and I can truly say this house is perfect. Everything you’d ever need is here. Wake up and have an espresso in the pool while you watch over the hills, play lots of games with friends or family and bake the perfect pizza in your own stone oven. There is even a sauna with an amazing view of the hills Definitely would recommend and I’ll certainly be back here!
