About this property

Perched on a hilltop, surrounded by the beautiful mountainous landscape of Le Marche is Villa Salomonio. This rural, stone home hails from the 16th century and offers a peaceful idyll for your Italian break. Here you are able to get away from it all and swim in the private pool while taking in the panoramic views.

As you approach the villa through ancient woodlands and rolling fields, you will see the charming, historic farmhouse. Set over two floors, this pretty home with shuttered windows has plenty of space to host a large family or a group of friends. Indoors, the rooms are filled with antique furnishings and original features such as an open fireplace and ceiling beams, while also offering modern amenities like Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and a washing machine.

On the ground floor, there is a welcoming living room with seating nestled around the fireplace, a well-equipped, farmhouse style kitchen and a dining room. There is also another living space on the lower ground floor which could be used as an area for the kids to spend time together.

The five bedrooms are located upstairs and can comfortably accommodate up to twelve guests. Each of the bedrooms offers neutral, calming tones and crisp linens to facilitate a great night’s sleep. There are three bedrooms with double beds and two rooms which have a single bed as well as a double which would suit those with a young child.

Outdoors, Villa Salomonio is enveloped by a lush, leafy garden. The tranquil garden is a wonderful space for everyone to come together where you can cook dinner on the barbecue and dine on the covered terrace. The large pool is perfect for a refreshing swim after a busy day out.

Though rurally situated, there are a number of villages and towns within easy reach of the villa. The closest amenities can be found in the village just 5km away.

Whether you are looking for a peaceful getaway in the countryside or an action-packed trip filled with days at the coast and visits to nearby towns, Le Marche has something for everybody. Avoid the crowds of neighbouring regions by experiencing authentic, unspoilt Le Marche.

As you wake up in the morning at Villa Salomonio, you will find yourself amidst a beautiful landscape filled with mountain peaks and ancient woodlands. Where better for you to sip your morning coffee as you soak in the incredible views. If you feel drawn to the natural environment, you do not have to go far to access scenic picnic spots and walking trails through the nearby countryside. The stunning Monte San Vicino and Monte Canfaito nature reserve is also easily reached and is crisscrossed with hiking routes for all abilities including challenging mountain hikes for the experienced. Horse riding and bike hire are also possible close by.

If you are planning on taking a memorable day trip together as a group, a visit to the Il Pollenza estate is a must. 32km away from the villa, this vast wine estate offers plenty to see and do. As well as touring the cellars, exploring the grounds and booking wine tastings, you can visit the staggering mansion and gardens. Exclusive, private tours and experiences are also available. If wine is not your thing, you could opt for a day at the enchanting Frasassi Caves which are the area’s finest attraction. The cave system is 34km away from the home and is an experience which is suitable for all ages.

Aside from Le Marche’s natural sites, you can also discover more of the local history and tuck into some delicious dishes by visiting some of the historic villages and towns nearby. When you don’t fancy cooking, you can simply drive the 5km to the local village; this little village has a good range of restaurants including a pizzeria and traditional eateries as well as a number of shops.
