Indeed, there is so much of Le Marche to explore. As well as country walks and hikes on offer throughout the beautiful countryside, the coast is just a 10-minute drive away. Here you can relax on sandy beaches and swim in the beautiful Adriatic Sea. Historic towns within a 30-minute drive include Loreto and Macerata whilst Ancona is just 50km away.
Enjoy long walks, hikes, bike rides and horse riding through the hills and valleys of the Le Marche countryside. There's a pizzeria within walking distance whilst a pretty village is around 1km away where you will find a useful grocery shop as well as a couple of places to eat and drink (make sure you buy some of the amazing home-made ice-cream from one of the bars).
You can also drive to the coast in around 10 minutes (5km) where you will find a lovely seaside town offering a mainly sandy beach and plenty of family-friendly facilities.
Visit the town of Macerata (26km) for the many historic sites and cultural charm found within its network of cobbled streets. Must-visits include the 18th-century Palazzo Buonaccorsi, which is now Macerata’s civic museum. The town is famous for its annual Opera Festival that runs every summer at an open-air amphitheatre.
Ascoli Piceno (85km) is just over an hour’s drive from the villa. Its most famous feature is the Renaissance square, Piazza del Popolo, which is home to the 13th-century Palazzo dei Capitani del Popolo. Another fascinating place to visit is the Cathedral of St. Emidio with its crypt and mosaics.
Head into the Umbria region by enjoying a day trip to Perugia (135km). This city features an historic centre with impressive defensive walls, as well as beautiful examples of medieval architecture. Stroll around Gothic Perugia Cathedral and the 16th-century fortress of Rocca Paolina, then marvel at the famous Fontana Maggiore fountain at the heart of Piazza IV Novembre.
Other great places to visit include Castelfidardo (26km), which is well known for its artisan accordion manufacture and the port city of Ancona (50km).

I’ve been here as a retreat guest and loved it so much I came back and rented it as a villa with friends. Without doubt the most exceptional place I’ve stayed in Italy. Amazing food, location, services, attention to detail and tailored service. Totally love it here and will be back for sure :)

Villa Castelletto is a TRUE retreat and sanctuary for an immersive Italian experience. Away from tourist traps and distractions, it’s the perfect venue for retreat hosts looking to hold space for an intentional purpose. It’s hard to describe exactly but imagine yourself owning a luxury home with a backyard view of Tuscan hills WITH the sea behind it PLUS 5 star hotel service fully equipped with everything you’d want/need to host a one of a kind experience centered around wellness and connection. Most places have either one or the other, but not here - you get it all. Breath taking views aside, I was most blown away by how well prepared and organized the venue was to cater to all the needs of our group. From a private chef that was always nourishing our bodies (and let’s be honest - minds and spirits too!) to Amanda and Francesca who were just a text away, it was support I’d never experienced with a retreat venue (and I’ve run quite a few!) OR even your most luxurious hotels! They really make you feel like you’re a part of the family and that they care about you and your group. I couldn’t recommend it more for hosts and groups looking to deliver and receive the most premier of premium experiences.

A beautiful place to relax and celebrate your holiday with family and friends. All well organized and the owners are very helpful for local tips on wine tasting, restaurants or beaches. Amazing views!
