The villa sits independently upon its own estate offering wonderful 360 degree views of the surrounding countryside that can be observed from the private swimming pool or the al-fresco dining area. There is also a delightful selection of spa facilities that include a heated Jacuzzi, salt cave and massage area, where you can unwind in your own private sanctuary.
This property is perfect for large holidays with friends or family, and also for weddings and large celebrations, with catering and wine tasting on demand, and plenty of exciting cultural and traditional experiences on offer. Learn how to cook pizza the real Italian way at the wood burning stove outside, or go foraging in the olive groves that surround the villa, then see your pickings turned into olive oil by the experts!
Villa Monte Nero is located in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, in Volterra amid the nature reserve of Montenero.
The Villa has 30 acres of land with beautiful olive trees and explansive green spaces where you can take a relaxing stroll immersed in nature. The reserve offers many marked trails that can be done on foot or by bicycle, and there are numerous natural waterfalls and some small lakes for diving.
The nearest town is Volterra, just 7 km away. Volterra is a famous town, that has amassed a fascinating history and character over the years.
A little further away there are also the most beautiful art cities such as Florence and Siena San Gimignano.

My husband and I are from Vancouver, Canada. We booked the villa for our Tuscan wedding weekend. The property is large with expansive countryside views and top notch amenities. The owners were very responsive and answered all of our questions leading up to the weekend. We hosted a rehearsal dinner that they catered, and the wedding day went according to plan with the help of their services. It was more beautiful than imagined. The setting was elegant and romantic, perfect for our 40 person event. We will be back in the future!

We had the most epic stay at this beautiful Tuscan villa. Nestled just outside the charming city of Volterra, Villa Monte Nero is the perfect place for larger groups, events and/or weddings. We were celebrating a dual 40th birthday event with 15 adults. All 9 rooms have their own bathroom and the common spaces are amazing! 2 HUGE dining rooms, a comfortable living room, a well-stocked kitchen, outdoor dining space, a beautiful pool, hot tub, a pizza oven, gorgeous grounds and the most amazing view. We even got to hang with 2 local (super-friendly) farm cats who made us feel right at home. The owner/host Dario was lovely to work with while planning our stay. He speaks very good English. He also runs a catering company so he provided a wonderful welcome dinner and breakfast for us each morning (for a nominal extra charge). His mother cooked us the best meal we had in Tuscany, nothing like an Italian mother’s home cooking! Dario also had suggestions for local tours and they were just a great as the villa. He was always available if we needed anything - top notch service all the way.

We spent an amazing week at this wonderful villa. Dario and family made our stay so memorable. The food was delicious, the house was beautiful, the scenery second to none. We had a very casual wedding ceremony that was made so much better by their attention to details that were never requested. Totally above and beyond. We will be back.
