Stroll for only one minute and get the sand between your toes at one of New Zealand's’ most beautiful beaches.

This large, two-storied home with accompanying sleepout can sleep up to 14 people, with 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. 4 Bedrooms are in the main house including an upstairs master with separate living area and balcony. On the top floor the living/family room has views out over Matapouri Bay. The sleepout at the rear of the section includes an open plan kitchenette, living-dining and 2 single beds. There is also a separate bedroom fitted with 2 single beds and a combined shower/toilet facility.

Amenities include Wi-Fi and smart TV, full kitchen, heat pump and laundry facilities.

Parking is available off-street on the lawn, and roadside on this one-way street. Boat parking is available up to 7m, also.

This is an outstanding option for families of all shapes and sizes from which to enjoy all the Tutukaka Coast has to offer. The Matapouri store and takeaways is at the end of the street, and a 10-to-15-minute drive takes you to the nearby towns of Tutukaka and Ngunguru.

The Tutukaka Coast has so much to offer with a short drive to the renowned surf beach Sandy Bay, Woolleys Bay, Whale Bay and Tutukaka or commonly known as “Toots” by the locals is the place to launch your boat, wander the shops and cafes, or catch a dive expedition to the Poor Knights Islands. Further on from Tutukaka is Ngunguru, a seaside village on the estuary with a well-stocked superette, hairdresser, beauty therapist and takeaways, golf course, sports complex, cafes.

A 10-minute drive from Tutukaka or a 2 hour 25 minute drive from Auckland and you'll find yourself in the marine paradise that is Matapouri. Matapouri is one of those idyllic spots, where every corner you turn you'll find yourself in awe as you stumble upon another azure blue cove lined with Pohutukawa or golden dunes. There's much to explore with Whale Bay nearby being accessed via a 15 minute bush walk, and of course the legendary mermaid pools a large natural set of rock pools set against the ocean perfect for swimming in at low tide.
