Paekakariki is home to Queen Elizabeth Park, with walkways and a working tramway museum, that is currently used to service the trams and trolley buses that operate in Wellington. At Paekakariki Station there are a number of restored trains that visitors may like to look through. A local favourite eatery is The Fishermans Table Restaurant, offering an extensive, family-friendly, reasonably priced menu.
