One of the fantastic reasons to visit this region is the beautiful sweeping views of the Mediterranean and dramatic cliffs that meet the sea. For truly excellent views there are some great walks along the coastline where you can enjoy escaping the crowds a little and take in the landscape. One of the highly recommended trails in the Percurso dos Sete Vales Suspensos route. This twelve-kilometre trail is fairly long but well worth the effort. Starting in Vale de Centianes in the west and finishing at Praia da Marinha to the east. The trail follows the clifftops and uncovers amazing limestone caves, secluded beaches and great views. There are lots of tour guides operating the route that can provide some fantastic insight into the region's history and geology whilst you enjoy the walk.

The house is spectacular! Very well equipped and the garden makes us want to stay at home. We are having a bit of an issue with the tiny ants in the kitchen, and a working toaster would be a nice addition. We love the ice machine.
