About this property

Set in the peaceful surroundings of Costa de la Luz, Casa Cueva Lujo is a refined rural retreat designed for guests seeking space, comfort, and a slower pace. The exterior features a smart wooden decking area with premium deckchairs and a swimming pool, offering the choice of sunbathing or cooling off at any time of day. A selection of outdoor terraces provides inviting settings for relaxed al fresco dining, with open views across the surrounding landscape.

Inside, the property combines modern and traditional elements to create a distinctive yet comfortable holiday home. The living area offers generous seating for unwinding, complemented by a statement table centred around a striking plant feature. Nearby, the dining area introduces a darker, contrasting style, with a slim black table and matching chairs suited to shared meals. The kitchen continues this look with black cabinetry and sleek surfaces, providing a practical space for guests who enjoy cooking during their stay.

The villa offers four well-presented bedrooms designed for rest and relaxation, including three doubles and one twin room. Finished with minimal, stylish décor, they provide a calm place to return to after busy days. Three shower rooms are also available, ensuring comfort and convenience for all guests throughout their stay.

Costa de la Luz is a popular tourist destination known for its lively attractions and rich cultural heritage. For those interested in the region’s history, the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art offers a distinctive insight into the tradition of horse dancing through its shows, presentations, and memorabilia. Located in Jerez de la Frontera, around an hour’s drive away, the journey also provides the opportunity to visit several pueblos blancos (white villages), including Vejer de la Frontera, recognised for their white-washed walls and strong ties to Andalusian identity.

Many of the region’s key attractions are centred in Cadiz, the main city of Costa de la Luz. Highlights include Torre Tavira, an eighteenth-century watchtower at the city’s highest point, home to Spain’s first camera obscura, and the Catedral de Cadiz, distinguished by its gold dome. The city is also well known for the Mercado Central (Central Market), a popular destination for visitors interested in local food culture, particularly its reputation for fresh seafood.

The Central Market operates in the heart of Costa de la Luz and offers a wide range of fresh produce such as herbs and wild asparagus, alongside local wines. Guests can source ingredients here for cooking back at Casa Cueva Lujo, as well as sample regional specialities including fresh snails. Many vendors also offer international shipping for handmade furniture purchased at the market. The area is equally valued for its beaches, with Bolonia nearby, offering golden sands and views across the water to Morocco, while Tarifa, around a 20-minute drive away, marks the southernmost point of continental Europe and is home to several expansive beaches.

Thank you for the best experience. Paulo was amazing and the host was great!

Juan’s place is very comfortable and absolutely beautiful! The decor and design are exactly to our taste. The lofts that are tastefully secured by rope posed a slight challenge for us with an adventurous two year old in tow but not enough to detour us from staying again should Juan have us back. The pool is very clean, the patio and lawn are very comfortable and the outdoor kitchen is a dream to cook and eat in. It was a wonderful stay!

The Cave is an amazing property with a huge amount of space. Even with a large group, it felt like each couple had their own area. The house is exactly as pictured - modern and well furnished. I would suggest bringing a mesh network/ wifi extender as the wifi connection is not strong and only available in one portion of the house.
