Perched on a hillside to provide incredible views of the coast and vast ocean beyond, Villa Montanes Alto is a shining gem of a property in Almuñecar, Costa Tropical. The villa, split between the main house and secondary living space down some steps, is built in the traditional white wall and terracotta roof style of the area.
The living space is spacious and airy in the area, facing the included TV. Watch some shows using the Apple TV in your downtime, connect to the Wi-Fi to talk to friends back home, or simply use the space to socialise with your group.
Villa Montanes Alto's bedrooms are split between the main house and the second living space, down a few steps halfway between the main house and the pool. The main house contains two double bedrooms, both having doors that lead directly onto the terrace. Here there are also two shower rooms. The separate living space has two single beds, storage space and a bathroom, perfect for anyone seeking added privacy.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything one would need to create delicious meals, snacks or simply a nice cup of tea. It features not only a stove, oven, and microwave but also a coffee maker and kettle. You are truly spoilt for the choice of dining areas at Villa Montanes Alto. In the kitchen, you will find the primary dining area, and through to the sunroom, you will find another, where large windows and French doors let in lots of natural light. Meals can also be enjoyed fully al-fresco by making use of the outdoor dining table just outside the doors on the patio and sipping wine as you look out across the ocean.
Outside, there are seating areas for socialising in the fresh air or taking in the incredible view with a morning coffee. On the lowest level, there are two sets of outdoor furniture, one in the warm sunlight and one in a shaded area for escaping the direct sun. Next to this shaded seating, you will also find an outdoor kitchen so you can grab a drink or snack without needing to head back to the house. Make use of the table tennis table outside and strike up some friendly competition within the group!
Down the steps, guests will come to the incredible outdoor private pool for their own use. With stepped entry, the cool water will be a hit with everyone as it provides relief from the warm sun and a chance to swim without having to leave the property. There are also a number of sun loungers lining the pool, so you can let the sun naturally dry you off after your dip. On colder days, or if you fancy a night-time swim, the pool can be heated via solar panels to ensure a lovely experience. Also, in this area, you will find the included steam room, the cherry on top of a villa perfect for relaxation!
Perched on a hillside, Villa Montanes Alto provides a beautiful vantage point to look out over the coastal area before you. Costa Tropical as a whole is really a tropical delight, and it is a wonderful destination for holidaymakers. Residing on the Southern coast of Spain, the weather is perfect for a summer getaway or any trip where you wish to feel the sun on your skin.
The villa is in a lovely residential area in Almuñecar, but still is only 1.6km from the lovely beach and ocean! There are also a few restaurants that serve delicious meals and fresh fish. The location of the property allows for relaxation during resting times but assures you are never too far from anything you may need. Also, on this beach, you will find the Almuñecar Dive Centre. Why not sign up for lessons and learn to dive during your stay? Get up close to the different fishes in their natural habitat and form incredible memories as you learn a new skill.
Just a 30-minute walk (2.5km) away from the villa, you will find even more restaurants ready to serve you up a delicious lunch or dinner. The restaurants serve a range of food, from traditional dishes to familiar favourites, so there is always something for everyone to eat. For the pickiest of eaters, there is even a Mcdonald's! There are a number of supermarkets in this area also, with one just a 20-minute walk from the villa doors.
The area has a number of beautiful nature to discover, and as such, there are many different hiking areas and walking paths available for you to explore during your stay. One such route is along the Maro Cerro Gordo cliffs, a nature reserve home to an outstanding area of flora and fauna. Take a day to explore it, and perhaps even pack a picnic to stop and enjoy along the way as you overlook the ocean below.
Castillo de San Miguel is a must-see for history buffs and everyone visiting Costa Tropical. Dating back to the 1st century BCE, it is a small castle that stands tall on a high hill. Make a day of exploring its ancient walls and taking in the panoramic views it provides, then browse the museum it houses and learn some history.
When you visit Costa Tropical, you are never without things to do or places to discover, and Villa Montanes Alto is perfectly situated to be the home base for all of these adventures.
