Situated on the hillside just moments from Marbella’s famed Golden Mile, this spectacular villa enjoys a secluded position with wonderful views over the mountain and sea.
Set off a residential street, a grand gateway gives way to the private driveway leading up to the villa, where you will find sufficient parking for all the guests. Surrounded by beautiful gardens with planted flower beds, olive trees and leafy palms, the modern villa enjoys a private setting inviting you to wander the grounds and relax beside the pool entirely undisturbed.
Whilst newly built, Villa Andevalo has a traditional Andalucían appearance, with an attractive whitewashed facade and a typical terracotta tiled roof. Lying low in the landscape, the main house features a variety of living spaces that give way to a large terrace to the rear, offering plenty of space for guests to spread out and spend time at their leisure.
On the ground floor, an impressive living room features a sunken central space tastefully furnished with designer lighting and ample seating arranged in various groupings. Double doors open to the rear terrace, drawing in natural light and offering a fluid indoor-outdoor living space. Large open fireplaces at both ends of the room have beautifully detailed timber panelling and new wood burners that are ideal for creating a cosy atmosphere during the cooler months.
There is a formal dining room and further lounge area leading off to the side, whilst around the corner, an impressive kitchen stretches out with a beautiful tiled floor and large island counter. Fully equipped with top-quality appliances, there is plenty of room to prepare meals throughout your stay, and the lovely kitchen table is a wonderful spot for sharing breakfast. A series of openings lead out to the patio where you can enjoy coffee in the morning sun or spend long afternoons over leisurely lunches outside whilst looking over the surrounding landscape.
Extending along the back of the house, a typical rural area forms a sweeping shaded terrace with large arched openings overlooking the garden and pool. Various seating areas are arranged along its length, inviting guests to find a quiet spot to read or socialise with a glass of wine and admire the beautiful views. Stepping down to a manicured lawn, a central brick pathway leads to the pool, with a paved terrace area surrounded by neatly kept shrubs and planted pots. The pool is perfect for cooling off with a swim, and plenty of stylish loungers are positioned around its edge, inviting you to recline in the sun or enjoy a siesta beneath one of the umbrellas. To one end, a charming outbuilding shelters a seating area and fire pit, providing a lovely spot to spend the evening with friends and make the most of the balmy summer nights.
In the main house, four bedrooms are arranged throughout, with generous king-sized beds and beautiful furnishings, whilst the well-designed bathrooms feature spacious showers and lovely free-standing baths that offer the ultimate luxury. An impressive entertainment area on the lower level is boldly decorated with patterned flooring and lavish furniture that add to the exuberant setting. An impressive bar area is available for guests to spend long evenings enjoying the indulgent ambience, whilst an enormous cinema room and games area offers hours of amusement (please enquire about a bar-stocking service!). A spa area and state-of-the-art gym also ensure you can enjoy a balanced and wholesome time away.
Separated from the main villa, a large guest house offers independence to additional guests with six bedrooms and bathrooms across two levels. With its own charming terrace and lounge area, it is perfect for those wanting a little extra privacy.
Whilst enjoying a secluded position, surrounded by beautiful gardens filled with plants and trees, Villa Andevalo is a mere stone’s throw from the Marbella’s famed Golden Mile, and the blue seas of the Mediterranean are just a few minute's drive.
Stretching for over 7 km along the coast, the palm-lined Golden Mile avenue runs from Marbella town to the glamorous Puerto Banús. In addition to its luxury residences and famous hotels, the prominent area is known for its elegant galleries and expensive fashion stores whilst featuring plenty of top restaurants, cafes and beach clubs. Developed in the 1970s, the trendy port area hosts celebrity yachts and beautiful sailboats which pull up to the moor and let their owners sample the nearby boutiques. Wander around the streets to soak up the vibrant atmosphere, or stop for a leisurely lunch at one of the waterside restaurants and enjoy a delicious plate of seafood whilst watching the marina’s bustling activity. Slightly set back from the port, the local Casa Blanca offers a traditional setting, serving up a delicious selection of Andalusian tapas, or for a more international cuisine, seek out the well-known Los Bandidos. With a handful of iconic clubs, Puerto Banús boasts a lively nightlife with plenty of options along the Calle Ribera that stay open until the early hours. Visit Sinatra’s Bar to enjoy a late afternoon cocktail, or head up to the Sky Lounge, where you can relax with a drink and admire a view over the harbour and out to the mountains in the distance.
The Nueva Andalucia region has plenty of beautifully kept golf clubs where you can enjoy a round on the course or visit the prestigious Puente Romano Club to play a game of tennis. The Golden Mile promenade is a popular spot for exercise, where you will find many people jogging or roller-skating or simply enjoying a gentle walk along the seafront, stopping for an ice cream at one of the nearby cafes. With over twenty beaches, there is always an opportunity to spend the day beside the sea. Situated beside the marina, Playa de Levanta features a short stretch of sand with calm, shallow waters making it a popular spot for families, whilst the nearby Playa Nagüeles is lined with the city’s most exclusive restaurants and hotels. Most of the beaches have good public facilities, as well as offering a variety of water sports and activities to enjoy.
The vibrant city of Marbella is a short drive to the north, or head to the harbour and hop on the Banus-Marbella Ferry. Either stay onboard and simply enjoy the coastline from a different perspective, or disembark in Marbella itself and explore the buzzing streets and lively culture. Discover the city’s architecture and visit the old town, where you can enjoy lunch in a typical tapas bar. Traditionally decorated, Taberna La Niña del Pisto serves up an exceptional gazpacho, or seek up Bar El Estrecho, tucked down a narrow alley. Established in 1954, this family-run establishment offers a laid-back atmosphere. It has a beautiful menu of meat dishes and local seafood, such as ‘sardinas al limon’ and delicious ‘ensalada de pulpo’.
Away from the coast, the Sierra Blanca mountains are full of well-marked trails to explore. Spend a day hiking through the rocky landscape or visit one of the picturesque hilltop villages. For those after a more challenging route, the imposing La Concha sits 1215 ft above sea level and offers unparalleled views over the coastline and stretching as far as Gibraltar and North Africa.
