Located in the heart of Austria, just a 5-minute drive from Ribadesella and a 30-minute walk from the coast, you can explore this beautiful area at your own pace, settling into the laid-back, Spanish way of living.

As you drive through the large wooden gate, the villa is characterised by its luscious garden, elegant covered terrace and dark wooden shutters. The interiors offer a mix of modern and homely décor, with every nook and cranny in the house filled with heart-warming touches. A delightful combination of indoor and outdoor space, you can meander in and out; think long days in the sunny garden followed by lively evenings as a family inside. Spread over two floors, there is plenty of room for a group of eight guests, perfect for a family or friends’ holiday in the sun.

The villas ground floor boasts the main entertaining spaces, with a fully equipped kitchen and a quiet breakfast area, a spacious living room flooded with sunlight and a social dining area. Traditional furnishings fill each room, and bright, open windows brighten every living space. With several seating areas including cosy sofas, large armchairs and comfortable chairs arranged around the dining table, you can each find your own favourite spot. You can curl up to read and sit down with your loved ones, playing games and enjoying long conversations away from your busy day to day lives.

Four spacious bedrooms fill the rest of the villa, including one double room on the ground floor and three rooms upstairs. The upstairs rooms comprise of two twin bedrooms and a double room. All of the bedrooms have private en-suite bathrooms and idyllic views over the garden.

Stepping outside, you will find a series of tranquil spots to relax in. A covered terrace wraps around the villa, with an outdoor dining area, hanging chair, sun loungers and a sofa set. The lawn stretches out from the terrace, with a private swimming pool, elegant pergola, hammock, barbecue and ample room to spread out and relax. An oasis away from the world, Villa Meluerda has all the comforts of a family home, combined with a fabulous location!

Located in a tranquil spot, just a 5-minute drive from Ribadesella and even less distance from the beach, Villa Meluerda is a fantastic base for exploring the beautiful Asturian coastline. A region of northwest Spain known for its rugged coast, mountains, religious sites and medieval architecture, this beautiful area is a little less discovered than some of the busier parts of Spain, offering the chance to immerse yourself in the natural splendours and heart-warming culture Spain is famous for.

The villa itself is in a quiet location in the charming town of Meluerda. The best way to get about is by bike, and five bikes can be left at the villa for you, or there is the possibility to rent eight bikes during your stay. Of course, everything is reachable by car as well, or if you prefer you can go on foot to explore the local surroundings. In the nearby area, there are several eateries we would recommend! A restaurant called Casa Pacho, which offers tapas and an à la carte with traditional Austrian dishes. The village inn called El Texu, similarly serving tapas and à la carte dishes. And in Ribadesella, Restaurante el volante has an excellent menu that is well worth trying!

In Ribadesella you will find all the conveniences you need for your stay, with supermarkets, shops, banks and pharmacies, as well as a myriad of delicious restaurants and tapas bars. Located just a 5-minute drive or 15-minute cycle from Villa Meluerda, you can head to the town for an afternoon, exploring the remarkable Tito Bustillo Cave and sandy beaches as well as picking up supplies.

The closest beaches to the villa are Playa de Guadamia and Playa de la Atalaya, both located within a 20-minute cycle of the villa’s front door, so you can enjoy the stunning coastline at your own pace. Guadamia beach is particularly popular with families, it is a small and secluded tidal beach, which sits in a nook between two cliffs. At high tide, there is a small beach to sit on, with shallow water to swim in, and as the tide goes out, small pools form with large stretches of sand to explore. Playa de la Atalaya, on the other hand, is a small rocky beach with beautiful views.
