The interior of Finca Cosmica is delightfully cosy, with a pretty farmhouse aesthetic in contrast to the modern architecture of the building. Everything here is of the highest quality, from the beautiful wooden ceiling beams and richly tiled flooring to the handsomely crafted furniture and sumptuous soft furnishings. The decor throughout is light, with fresh white walls that perfectly complement the rich wooden accents and the bursts of colour in the villa’s artworks. The lounge area is as comfortable as it is functional, with a soft sofa and armchair to sink into, ready for a night in front of the TV, and a spacious dining area - perfect for enjoying home-cooked meals with the whole family. Finca Cosmica features a separate, well-equipped kitchen with a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and all of the cookware, crockery and utensils you’ll need during your stay.

The villa’s bedrooms are just as elegant in design and decor; light, spacious rooms that promise a relaxing and restful night’s sleep. There are two double bedrooms and a single that share a bathroom with a bathtub, as well as a double master bedroom that benefits from ensuite facilities, including a hydromassage bathtub for the ultimate holiday luxury. The grounds of Finca Cosmica are no less impressive, with a covered porch, a well-maintained lawn area with hammocks, and a fully-furnished alfresco dining area complete with barbecue. Other luxurious extras include a pretty fish pond, giant chequers set and an outside bathroom with a shower. Of course, there’s also the all-important private pool, which is surrounded by sun loungers, and a covered daybed - the ideal spot to relax with a good book and a glass of local wine as you enjoy your beautiful surroundings.

Finca Cosmica is situated in the beautiful, rural village of Santa Gertrudis, an area surrounded by agricultural fields that are home to fruit orchards, sheep, goats, and the island’s only dairy cows. Steeped in tradition, Santa Gertrudis’  main village square is overlooked by its whitewashed fortress church and distinctive yellow tower and features a pedestrian-friendly plaza where you’ll find plenty in the way of bars, restaurants and shops.

This charming little village is popular with tourists thanks to its relaxing and chilled-out vibe, where children play in the beautifully lit square or fabulous playground late into the evening while families dine on the terraces. There are little boutiques and arts and crafts shops open day and night here, so visitors are often strolling through the streets long after the sun has gone down, enjoying the sophisticated, bohemian vibe. The village is home to many artists, musicians and sculptors, and you’ll find their works everywhere here in the local galleries and most famously at Bar Costa, where during the hippy era of the 60s, penniless artists would come to swap paintings for food.

The surrounding areas of Santa Gertrudis are home to a variety of fruit and vegetable farms that supply the local restaurants with fresh produce, so whether you’re craving classic Spanish tapas, hearty Italian food, or delicious and innovative vegetarian and vegan options, you’ll be spoilt for choice during your stay in the village. We recommend dining at Gitano, whose terrace is one of the loveliest spots in the village. Cocktail lovers will be in their element here, as the restaurant has a long and extensive list to choose from, and the food is first-rate, with a menu that includes ceviche, wonderfully light tempura and the most incredible sushi. Another popular restaurant in the village is Wild Beets, a stylishly contemporary plant-based restaurant that is popular with vegans and non-vegans alike and is famous for its clean, mostly raw, Instagram-friendly dishes. For those who enjoy fusion cuisine, there’s La Paloma restaurant, popular with locals as well as tourists - and even a few celebs! - this Italian-Israeli-run restaurant offers an exciting Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern/North African fusion menu, offering excellent salads, solomillo steak and chicken shawarma, among other tempting dishes.
