The villa’s four fully air-conditioned and spacious bedrooms are just as stylishly decorated as the rest of the villa. With a choice of two twin rooms or two doubles, sorting out sleeping arrangements for the whole family should be a breeze. Both double rooms enjoy en suite facilities, with the master room featuring a king-size bed. Both doubles share a second modern bathroom and offer an equally restful and relaxing atmosphere, promising a comfortable night’s sleep.
Two outdoor terraces provide lounging and dining spaces- fully furnished and protected by remote-control sun-awnings. These beautifully designed areas offer guests the perfect spots for enjoying pre-dinner drinks, dining as a family, reading and relaxing; everything you could want from your holiday accommodation. A built-in barbecue area means you and your guests can enjoy alfresco cuisine while enjoying those stunning ocean views.

Villa Alba is located in the exclusive and beautiful San Jaime region, close to Son Bou Beach - one of the longest stretches of golden sand on the island of Menorca. The beach features elevated timber walkways over the dunes that provide easy access for pushchairs, prams and wheelchairs, making it popular with visitors who have small children and those with limited mobility. Son Bou beach can get busy during the summer months, but with so much space, it should be easy to find a quiet spot to set up for the day and enjoy the clear, shallow waters and soft sands. You’ll find plenty of family-friendly amenities here, such as lots of on-duty lifeguards, a first-aid post, a sun lounger and parasol hire, and a wide range of water sports activities that the whole family can enjoy.
You’ll find Club san Jaime near Son Bou beach, which is open from late morning until early evening and features some exciting water slides that the kids (and the adults!) will enjoy. Oliver recommends spending an hour or so here on a hot day. It’s great fun and very reasonably priced.
If you head into the centre of Son Bou, you’ll find several good supermarkets ideal for self-catering and plenty of places to buy well-priced trinkets and souvenirs. There are also ATMs, a good taxi rank, and an excellent bus service available if you want to travel a little further afield to Santo Tomas, which is also accessible along the coastal path if you fancy the walk. Santo Tomas is a slightly quieter resort than Son Bou, and this beautiful village is popular with families with young children. The resort is a nature-lovers paradise that features gorgeous remote beaches, countryside walks and cycling tracks - ideal for those who want to get away from it all and enjoy all of the beauty and peace this island offers.
If you’d rather stay put in Son Bou, you’ll be pleased to know that a good selection of bars and restaurants cater to all tastes and budgets. For example, Casa Andres, which specialises in international cuisine as well as Mediterranean dishes and seafood, and Es Forn de Torre Soli Nou, where you can sample delicious Spanish meat dishes. For your evening’s entertainment, we recommend heading to Buddha Cafe bar, THE place to go for late-night musical entertainment. Or visit one of the many cocktail bars, such as La Roca and Mai-Tai, which have a dazzling array of colourful and delicious cocktails to enjoy.
