The nearest beach to Villa Muro II, fewer than ten minutes away on foot, is a long and sandy playground for all the family; brimming with bars, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, water sport rentals and boat trips. There’s also a convenient bus line with regular stops along the beachfront making it easy to access nearby attractions and other areas of the island.
History buffs have only to take a short jaunt to the town of Alcúdia to admire the 14th century wall around its old town. The remains of a Roman town can also be found just outside the town walls, including a Roman theatre. The town is famous for its small restaurants, and depending on the time of year your visit may coincide with a festival period, such as the Festival of St. Jaume in July, the Jazz Festival in August, or even the Night of the Romans.
Lagoon views from the villa will also entice you to explore the S’Albufera de Mallorca nature preserve. This sprawling wetland is rich in biodiversity, especially its variety of bird species and walking trials.
