You’ll be wowed when you vacation in the breath-takingly beautiful Sitges Platja, perfectly positioned on the beachfront of Sitges promenade, near to Barcelona, on the east coast of Spain. This lovingly restored, three storey, detached mansion was built in 1940, and has six spacious bedrooms, and an independent guest house, that can comfortably accommodate up to eighteen guests. The villa would make the most amazing family celebration, or a group of friends’ fabulous fun holiday. The property is set in two thousand square metres of the most gorgeous grounds and Mediterranean tropical gardens, with your own private swimming pool. The villa comes with all the mod cons, including complimentary air conditioning and Wi-Fi throughout, a media entertainment centre, and a smart home system to control all the facilities. The exterior is impressive, the interiors are exquisite, with lots of sparkling white marble, natural wood, and furnished with contemporary yet comfortable pieces.

Enter the villa at ground floor level, where you will be welcomed by a light bright reception hall that is furnished with oversize mirrors, classic consoles, a working glass topped desk, with a contrasting black alabaster fireplace. The elegant sitting room has two smart white sofas, a glass topped coffee table, a floor to ceiling fitted library bookshelf, and a flat screen satellite television. Open the doors into the glass conservatory, with two matching armchairs and footstools, and a four seater table that invites you to take a seat and enjoy your morning coffee. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with all the latest appliances you will need to cater for your stay, including that must-have wine fridge. Sit down for supper at the sixteen seater dining table with amazing sea views!

Five superbly appointed ensuite bedrooms are arranged over the two upper floors. The star of the show is the Master Suite, which runs the length of the house, has a king size bed, smart TV, ensuite spa bathroom, and two furnished balconies, one with a sea view, the other overlooking the garden. There is also a chill out area with a sofa bed, and a small workout space with gym equipment. The sixth bedroom can be found in the basement, adjacent to a laundry room. The independent annexe is fabulous for a couple who seek privacy, this bijou guest house in the garden has a double and a sofa bed, an ensuite bathroom, and a sitting room with a small kitchenette, with a terrace furnished with an eight seater dining set.

Go out into the gorgeous garden, and follow the path to the step-entry, free form swimming pool, surrounded by sun loungers, shady parasols, comfy soft seating spots and a bar. As dusk falls meet under the portico veranda for cocktails on the terrace, before dining alfresco at the fourteen seater dining set, with dishes prepared in the summer kitchen, and freshly grilled on the built in barbeque. The raise a glass of local Cava to the most magical of holidays.

Sitges Platja sits in the privileged position of the beachfront promenade of Sitges, near to Barcelona, overlooking the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea. It’s a short twenty five minute drive from Barcelona International Airport to your holiday home, and a thirty five minute drive into the city of Barcelona. The nearest beach is literally across the road!

In the holiday hot spot resort of Sitges you will find everything you need to cater for your holiday, shops, stores, and daily markets, and a plethora of trendy cafes and bars, and international restaurants to please every palate. The best beaches are reputedly Playa de la Fragata, Ribera, and San Sebastian, with golden sands, crystal clear waters, and lively beachside bars, not to mention the watersports, including windsurfing, paddleboarding and kayaking. Keep fit with a game of golf on the nearby course, a set of tennis at the nearby court, or hike the surrounding hills on well-worn trails. All aboard for a boast trip around the coast for a day of sunbathing, swimming, and snorkelling.

Sitges has some notable churches, the Maricel and the Cau Ferrat Museums, and the Palau de Maricel. Explore the old town with its quaint narrow streets, and local restaurants. Make sure to travel to Barcelona to see Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Park Guell, and Casa Batlo and Mila. Walk down the La Rambla, visit the Gothic Quarter, and the Miro and Picasso Museums. Venture further afield to the mountain range of Montserrat, the coastal city of Tarragona, and the Catalonian Cava Wineries for some other incredible spots to explore!

As night falls dance until dawn in one of the many bars, clubs, and discos, and watch the sun rise!
