Casa del Camps is a beautifully restored six-bedroom country house on the edge of a small village, where traditional Empordà architecture meets clean, contemporary design. With generous proportions, high ceilings and large south-facing windows, the house is filled with natural light and maintains a strong connection to the surrounding farmland.
At its centre is an impressive double-height living space, with an open gallery above leading to the bedrooms. The kitchen is a big highlight, designed by a professional chef, it has high-end appliances, and all the equipment needed for a central island and direct connections to both indoor and outdoor dining areas.
Outside, the garden has been designed for spending most of the day in the open air. There is a swimming pool framed by olive trees, including a shallow section for children, as well as an outdoor kitchen, dining area, barbecue, chill-out space and poolside pavilion with its own bathroom.
With open countryside around the house and some of the Baix Empordà’s best-known villages and beaches within easy driving distance, Casa del Camps is particularly well suited to families and groups looking for space, design and a quieter side of the Costa Brava.
Casa del Camps sits on the outskirts of Fonolleres, a small rural village in the heart of the Baix Empordà. With very little traffic and no restaurants within the village itself, it has a distinctly peaceful, residential feel, while still being well placed for exploring the wider region.
Country lanes and paths lead out through the surrounding fields, making walking and cycling an easy part of the day. By car, guests can reach towns and villages including Pals, Begur and Torroella de Montgrí, where there are markets, shops and a good choice of restaurants. The coast is also within easy reach, including the Gola del Ter and the broader Pals and Baix Ter coastline. Official walking routes in the area include trails around Gola del Ter and between Pals and Begur.
It is a location that gives guests the quieter pace of rural Empordà without sacrificing access to beaches, historic villages and the restaurants and shops that make this part of the Costa Brava such a strong holiday destination.
