About this property

Located in the unique rural setting of Calblanque Regional Park, this three-bedroom, three-bathroom villa in Cartagena, Spain, has stunning views of the mountain and the Mar Menor.

Is there a better way to feel like you're finally on holiday than walking barefoot across stone tiles in your luxury Spanish villa? These are just one of many natural touches which dot the interior of the property, and bringing the Spanish Mediterranean inside the house was clearly a priority for the owners. Terracotta tiles and the turquoise blue of the outdoor heated pool are just two of the features which create a relaxed and warm ambience and make the house a perfect place to relax and recharge.

Entering the property, you'll be enveloped by the brightly lit interior, which marries luxury touches with homely decor. The living area is homely and comfortable, with sofas to lounge on and a working fireplace. Keeping everyone entertained won't be a problem as the house has a 55" TV and Wi-Fi available for your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped and combines natural elements like wood and marble with a modern aesthetic. Making your way across the Mediterranean tiled floors, you'll come to the three delightful bedrooms. One room features a double bed, and the other two feature joined single beds, offering flexibility. You're sure to enjoy kicking back and relaxing thanks to the tasteful decoration, natural colours and luxurious, comfortable beds.

If dining al-fresco is your thing, there's an outdoor dining area where you can eat, drink and entertain during the warm Spanish evenings. The dining space has a stylish seating area where you can soak up the beautiful views out to the pool and surrounding countryside. The jewel in the crown of the villa has to be the private heated pool which looks out onto the sea and the mountains. Guests love to spend hours topping up their tans on the sun loungers, and when you're surrounded by this much natural landscape and space, privacy will be no issue.

Casa Calida Palmitos is located in the stunning Calblanque Regional Park, which has been designated a protected nature reserve since 1987. Here you have easy access to the cliff walks and sandy beaches that are such a cherished part of the park. Taking a stroll around the area, you'll find a huge range of fauna that make the park their home. Birds, lizards, owls and eagles are just a few of the species you'll come across as you explore coves, dunes, salt flats and cliffs. The house is just a few minutes from several wild beaches and coves, including 'Cala de las Mulas'.

A thirty-minute drive away is the Spanish city of Cartagena. The natural harbour hides an ancient port and is surrounded by Spanish hillsides. History is everywhere to be seen here, and thanks to its location close to both the European shoreline and North Africa, you'll find a wealth of influences that shaped the city. Take your time to wander the Roman villas and baths, a harbour used by the Phoenicians, thick 18th-century defensive walls, and polished marble streets lined with elegant art nouveau architecture. Visitors can easily make their way around the city on foot, and we recommend taking in the palm-lined waterfront, the Roman Amphitheater and the Underwater Archaeology Museum. There's also time to visit the castle, as well as stroll the old town and admire the modernista architecture. This part of Spain is also well-known for its abundance of golf and tennis resorts! Why not take a trip to the nearby La Manga Club Resort and practice your swing?

Fuel your trip with tapas from one of the many bars and a cold beer or a glass of dry white. For Murcian specialities, you can't go wrong with Tuna tartare, shrimp carpaccio, creamy croquetas, cod tempura, and oven-baked sea bass. Then finish off with Spanish churros, deep-fried strips of dough with chocolate sauce. Yum!

An amazing property in a unique environment! The house is simply spectacular. Very warm, comfortable, functional and complete. The heated pool is a highlight, as you can enjoy it even out of season as it was in our case. Highly recommended to share with the family!

Manuel is an excellent host. The house is modestly spectacular and enjoyed it during our stay. There are many beaches nearby that are incredible, and the town of Cabo de Palos has delicious restaurants the vibe in general is marvellous. We highly recommend for friends or family, and above all, if you want to relax and feel connected to nature. The house is well equipped for cooking and having a good time in the pool. For sure, we will return!
