Coronation Cottage is highly praised for its comfort, well-equipped nature, and beautiful garden with river access. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, including a welcome pack, and commend the property manager, Tracey, for her helpfulness. The cottage serves as a great base for exploring the local area, with some minor feedback on cleanliness and maintenance.
Most guests found the cottage to be spotless and comfortable. However, one review mentioned that some surfaces and floors hadn't been cleaned to their expected standard, which slightly impacts the overall cleanliness score.
The location is well-regarded as quiet and picturesque, ideal for touring Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, and providing good access to local amenities and attractions. The proximity to the river and wildlife adds to the charm.
Guests consistently report that the cottage is warm, cosy, and comfortable, with very comfy beds and a welcoming atmosphere. The only minor criticism was regarding the size of the pillows and bedside facilities.
The cottage is celebrated for being well-equipped and having a great garden. Some technical issues with appliances and a note on fishing restrictions were mentioned, but the swift response to rectify these issues is noted.
The welcome pack and final touches are frequently mentioned and appreciated by guests, indicating a high level of thoughtfulness. It should be noted that such gifts, while often provided, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The exterior of this Upwell cottage is a real highlight, boasting an enclosed gravelled section with a covered seating area, perfect for entertaining on a balmy evening, while the beautiful rear garden offers a lawned area leading down to the river, where you can sit back and enjoy a spot of fishing, or simply switch off as you listen to the river flow by. The property is in a great countryside location, surrounded by farming fields, rivers and impressive man-made land drains, plus natural wetlands and RSPB reserves, offering a wealth of scenic walking. The village was so picturesque with the river carrying barges and boats, plus providing a home for the many swans and wildlife. The Coronation Cottage was extremely well planned, with plenty of room to relax in. The beds were so comfortable and the facilities/equipment provided covered all our needs. The extras and welcome pack provided by Tracey were greatly appreciated. We found lot's to do in the local area and enjoyed a variety of days out. We especially enjoyed the National Trust properties and Downham Market. We would highly recommend Coronation Cottage and would love to return one day. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.

We were a family of 5. 2 adults and 3 teenagers. The garden is just magnificent and perfect for lazy sunny days. The welcome from Tracey and the basket of goodies ready for us was very gratefully received. There isnât much to do in Upwell itself but it is very beautiful and you can fish, which we did a lot of. Lots of little walks to do too. We found that anything we wanted to do was at least 35mins to an hour away. We can highly recommend a visit to Ely and Sandringham. We also enjoyed Hunstanton beach.

Nice welcome pack, (but we would have appreciated milk). Useful fish & chip shop & great butchers within few minutes walking distance, plus good Coop short drive away. Great places to visit in local area- we particularly recommend Watatunga (deer safari park)- but MUST prebook via internet ; and Gooderstone Water Gardens, also Ely - so interesting & beautiful, with great market some days.
