Hillside cottage is set on the owners working dairy farm and has been renovated to a very good standard in 2020, an ideal getaway for friends or family alike wanting to explore the Shropshire countryside. The property is situated 1½ miles from Malpas, and the historic city of Chester, with its famous races and excellent selection of bars, shops and restaurants, is just 18 miles away. Other places worth visiting, within easy driving distance, include Chester Zoo, 28 miles, Blue Planet Aquarium, 30 miles and Beeston Castle, 18 miles. Cholmondeley Castle Gardens are 12 miles and Delamere Forest, with its ‘Go Ape’ treetop adventure park, is 20 miles away. North Wales is also very accessible from here, and the popular beach resorts of Rhyl, Prestatyn and Talacre are all within an hour’s drive. The town of Wrexham is 10 miles from the property, you are pretty central at this property to travel throughout England or Wales. Shop and pub 1½ miles, restaurant 2½ miles.

We enjoyed a lovely time in a truly relaxing location, so quiet and peaceful. The cottage is spotlessly clean and very comfortable, great shower and spacious bathroom. Comfy beds, clean linen, nice and warm, well equipped kitchen and easy parking right outside. A previous guest had broken the freezer door but a large chest freezer in the shed right outside has lots of room spare.I really can't fault the cottage at Hillside Farm, hence the five stars. Lovely friendly welcome from the owners and also assorted dogs, including the famous Jet! Lots to do in the near area or further afield. Would return in a flash! :D

A really nice cottage on a working diary farm. The kitchen is really well equipped for self catering. Some really nice places to visit within 30 mins or less (Wales, Shropshire and Cheshire). Would recommend!
