Guests say

The Lodge in CIRENCESTER is a well-loved cottage, praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and excellent location. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, well-equipped facilities, and the property's charm. While there are a few minor criticisms, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Most guests found The Lodge to be very clean, with comfortable furnishings and well-maintained spaces. However, one review mentioned issues with cleanliness, including dog hair and ants, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is highly praised for its quiet village setting, proximity to local walks, and easy access to the Cotswolds. The presence of a nearby pub is frequently mentioned as a positive aspect.

Guests consistently mention the comfort of the cottage, highlighting the cosy atmosphere, warm beds, and homely touches. A few comments about a lumpy sofa and low beds suggest room for improvement.

The Lodge is commended for being well-equipped and having attention to detail. Criticisms include outdated kitchen utensils, lack of smart TV functionality, and a slippery patio, which suggest some facilities could be updated.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident, with mentions of welcome gifts and extra touches that make stays enjoyable. While gifts are appreciated, they are a kind gesture and not a guaranteed amenity.

Great village. nice and clean with good facilities and a lovely garden.Only thing for us was that lounge was uncomfortable and lack of table space. Otherwise perfectly thought out and Thank you for the welcome pack. Much appreciated

It’s the perfect location for exploring, the village is really lovely. For anyone wanting to know, there is a pub, a shop and little cafe and also a church. There are lots of dog walks literally outside the door! The cottage is so clean and so welcoming! Thank you so much for making us so incredibly welcome and for our lovely thoughtful Christmas gifts. We will definitely be back! The only thing is, I was worried about our dog Luna getting your white rug dirty coming in from the garden, so maybe some dog mats to save the rug. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much again xx

Comfy beds, nice bedding and towels .Brilliant to have the basics provided like tea coffee condiments etc . Our only wish would be to have a coffee table in the front lounge but that's a minor issue.
