Stow Cottage in Gloucestershire is highly praised for its cleanliness, prime location, and comfort. Guests appreciate its proximity to local amenities and the thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests planning return visits.
Reviews consistently mention the cottage as clean and well-presented. One isolated comment about unemptied dishwasher and bins slightly impacts the score, but overall, the property is commended for its cleanliness.
The location is frequently highlighted as excellent, with the cottage being within walking distance to the town centre and local attractions. Its quiet yet central position in Stow on the Wold is a standout feature.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, particularly noting the quality of the beds and the cosy atmosphere. Some suggestions for minor improvements are made, but these do not detract significantly from the overall comfort.
The cottage is well-equipped and guests are generally satisfied with the amenities provided. However, there are several mentions of minor maintenance issues such as tap washers and window hinges, which suggest room for improvement.
Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like milk and biscuits, Christmas decorations, and well-stocked kitchen utensils. While these gifts enhance the experience, it is politely noted that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed.
