About this property

This magnificent property is oozing with modern luxuries and features, both inside and out. And just a stroll away from the charms of Stow-on-the-Wold, where you can indulge in the many excellent restaurants, pubs, tea shops, independent retailers and antique dealers.

Beautifully constructed with impressive architectural design in 2021, Hawford House will exceed your expectations in every way. Ideal for holidaying with family and friends, the main living areas are open-plan with a modern, bright and spacious feel throughout. A contemporary blend of modern concrete, large expanses of glass and Cotswold stone lead you down into the sleek and superbly equipped kitchen, complete with Everhot stove and a Quooker constant hot water tap. Vaulted ceilings and double height glazing add grandeur and the large, sliding glazed doors lead directly out to a covered barbecue area with ceramic egg and more kitchen units, allowing you to plan a celebratory barbecue without giving a thought to the weather. From the kitchen, chefs can join in with the fun looking across the kitchen island to the central dining area and modern but cosy sitting room with a beautiful wood burning stove and large, wall mounted television above. The kitchen, dining and sitting room areas all look out to the immaculate terrace and lawn. From the sitting room, a snug is hidden via a "secret" stone door, where teenagers can escape and enjoy the Sky TV and Xbox games console. The snug can double up as its own "wing" of the house with an en-suite shower room next to it, and a spiral staircase leading to a mezzanine double bedroom.

Up the main staircase to the first floor and a spacious landing leads to two beautifully decorated bedrooms, one with a four-poster bed and another a twin room with two single beds. The feature "spa" bathroom is also on this level with its luxurious sunken plunge bath and overhead rainfall shower; open the doors and enjoy your own private spot to sit outside and enjoy the stars. The second floor is home to two exquisite bedroom suites, each with a 6' super-king size bed and stunning en-suite. The master bedroom features a beautiful double ended, contemporary bath.

Outside, the wow factor continues, with two separate areas to sit and enjoy the garden; the main terrace and lawned area to the rear; and to the front, a separate fire pit area with more seating, so you can move around with the sunshine. Secure, electric gates lead to the driveway with generous car parking.

Refused to provide invoice despite several requests. Unhelpful throughout. Won’t be using again!

Beautiful modern house but with lots of hard and sharp surfaces, tricky with children. BBQ far too small to cook for more than four. A very generous welcome pack and kitchen was very well equipped.

Looked impressive but didn't live up to expectation. The Quooker tap didn't work so couldn't make tea and coffee, we had to ask for a kettle. There were also no easy instructions for the tap, although we worked out it wasn't working after finding the manual. The hot water seemed to be in short supply. The most annoying problem was the 2 showers on the top floor, one leaked through the ceiling on to the top of the kitchen cupboards, the other shower drain became blocked after 4 days so we had to use a different shower. We weren't aware that the holiday had been sub contracted to Cotswold Hideaways, there was no mention of Rural Retreats anywhere, even in the welcome package.
