Linnet Cottage provides a perfect home away from home, sleeping up to six guests and an additional child, this property is a great place to stay for a large family. Upon entering, you will find the property is of a good size and has fantastic views over the lake. The living space is a sociable open plan design, and complete with a wood burner for cosy winter evenings and 60” Smart TV, sliding doors to access decking and downstairs toilet. Outside the property really comes into its own, with a large decking on the ground floor offering picturesque views, seating, and gas BBQ for al fresco dining. On the first floor are three bedrooms one with en-suite, a further bedroom with a child’s single bed with fantastic views, and a family bathroom. You can access the first-floor deck through the double and single rooms. The spacious second floor features a kingsize bed with en-suite.
lLnnet Cottage is set within Clearwater, part of the Lower Mill Estate private nature reserve. Lower Mill Estate is made up of seven lakes, rivers, meadows and woodland. It is built around a large diverse nature reserve supporting a range of wonderful habitats and wildlife. The nature reserve and surrounding lakes offer a variety of water sports from open water swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, and canoeing to fishing in tranquil settings. As guests of Linnet Cottage you will also benefit from on-site facilities including an enclosed children’s play area, tennis courts and membership to ArtSpa (treatments are at cost) and use of the gym and indoor and outdoor ’eco’ swimming pool. There is an on-site shop that provides you with day-to-day essentials and extra logs. You will also have access to the Lower Mill Estate’s private restaurant, The Ballihoo. Walking opportunities abound and the Thames footpath runs through the estate; there are also many walking/cycling routes close by. Mill Village is in the beautiful Cotswold Village of Somerford Keynes where there is plenty to see and do out of the Lower Mill Estate. Cotswolds Country Park and Beach is within walking distance; the man-made beach has a variety of water sports activities, climbing activities and BBQ hire. There are also numerous lakes close by where you can take part in water sport activities. There are plenty of country pubs, cafés and restaurants close by and the beautiful market town of Cirencester is a close drive away. For any activities it is advised to book in advance. Shop and restaurant on-site.

I love this place so much, it’s so peaceful and relaxing and the accommodation is very spacious with beautiful views of the lake. The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is that the WiFi is unreliable and drops out regularly. This didn’t bother me too much but my teenage children found it frustrating. If the owners could upgrade the broadband, I would definitely rate it 5 stars.

I can honestly say the place was nice where we stayed and the view I was there with my family there was six of us and an infant, but I could honestly say the lack of towels was very poor was told the towels were for us to dry with. They could not cover a man m, there was no grey towels which they said there was the bathrooms wasn’t that clean and there was so many bugs upstairs because of all the greenery around by the doors and the windows the kitchen was top-notch. I could not complain there’s three chefs that was in there and it was equipped enough, as for the decking area it wasn’t very clean a lot of duck poo which I know can’t be helped and the garden furniture was very rusty and as for the barbecue I got asked if we use it to clean it bear in mind I had to give it a good scrub before we could use it. Good job I brought gloves.. also the bedroom there was not enough wardrobe space and there was no wardrobes in one of the rooms at All upstairs I would not say was equipped enough, would I come back? No and the house was displayed as total different property in my eyes unless I got that wrong ,?? very peaceful, but not enough fishing places to fish this is what we planned on doing with my husband and our son for his 70th, but it didn’t happen because a lot of places were private or unusable. All you had to use a car to get to it which is not the impacted that I got that we could fish outside the property. I was only grateful that there was an extra fridge cause we definitely needed it because the fridge wasn’t big enough for a family of 6+ an infant, I hope this helps and if you’re coming, bring plenty of cloths and anti-back sprays and the decking definitely leads improving out the back because the first day we got out there my son walked with his daughter and went straight through it which we notified Liam straightaway and he said someone was gonna come round and no one did,
