A path from the cottage takes you to the garden and its summer house, which includes seating and children's games. There is a path which takes you past the rear of the cottage into another garden area that sweeps through an arch into a further garden. The bird life at this cottage is extraordinary with everything from goldfinch and siskin to buzzard and spotted woodpecker. Swallows and house martins are regular visitors in the summer and pheasants inhabit the garden all year round. Kitchen was smaller than it looked in the photos, but very well equipped. Overall very pleased, would definitely recommend. Hamper was a really lovely touch also

Tammy's cake was delicious. Just one negative - the directions to the property seemed to be missing some detail. It said: "Follow A361 and then follow B3230 to your destination. The B3230 is a very long road. You will pass St Peter Bittadon. Your property will be further ahead." The house is not on the B3230 so it was good that Tammy had called in advance and mentioned turning off the B3230 just before the Bittadon village sign! We then followed satnav which led us up the hill to a farmyard full of piles of tyres. When we eventually did find the house, we then spent the next hour standing on the road to flag down and direct the rest of our group arriving in different cars! So clearer directions would be very helpful for your guests!

The only problem that we found was getting out at the end of the lane it was on a blind corner on a busy road.
