I booked this cottage for our annual Christmas break, 12th-15th December. It was a lovely size, clean and welcoming. It was well heated which was nice for a winter holiday. The kitchen was spacious and the utility area was great for boots and coats to keep them out of the way. The bedrooms were very comfortable and we all slept well. The doors are creaky though which may be a problem if you have light sleeping children! The living room could only accommodate 3/4 people on the sofas. Two bean bags were in the room but we felt we couldn’t comfortably get 7 people in without feeling a bit squashed. The main bathroom was lovely, especially the huge bath. Plenty of towels. The outside space was well kept and the hot tub was a nice addition. It’s all fenced off so very secure. You need to drive to get to anywhere as nothing is within walking distance but that wasn’t an issue for us. The property is on a lane with no pathways so worth noting if you have children. My only grumble is it stated it’s decorated for Christmas and it wasn’t. As it was our Christmas family break that was disappointing, especially for my grandchild who is very excited by the lights and Christmas trees. Overall a lovely property, and a very nice few days away.
