Nestled in stunning Derbyshire countryside, there are plenty of walks from your door, and a rich history to be explored whichever direction you head off into. The dog friendly pub, The Bear, is a scenic 1 mile walk over the fields via a footpath. Wirksworth, just 2 miles, has lots of places to eat, a local shop and a wonderful independent cinema to enjoy. Cromford, just 3 miles away, offers a world-famous bookshop, art gallery, local pubs and shops and more. The Cromford Mills themselves, once a place of groundbreaking industry, often have events and there is a flat walk by the canal. Matlock Bath, 5 miles away, also known as Little Switzerland has a vibrant seaside without the sea vibe, and enjoys events throughout the seasons, as well as cable cars, taking you to the Heights of Abraham. Carsington Water with its water sports, cycle trails and birdwatching and fishing, is just over the hill, 4 miles away.
The cottage itself is cute as a button, and the perfect base for exploring, with exposed beams and stonework adding lots of charm to this lovely property. An open plan space inside, offers a well-equipped kitchen with dining table to the side, and soft sumptuous seating for those lovely evenings, great for recalling your days adventures. There is an ambient, electric wood burning stove effect fire, but the underfloor heating will make sure that your stay is cosy. Upstairs offers a king size bed with throws and cushions adding gorgeous colour accents and comfort. An en-suite bathroom completes this floor.
Outside, why not have a swing on the lovely swing seat whilst relaxing in this lovely spot. A dog play field for your furry friends makes the perfect space for a safe play in the outdoors.
