The spa town of Buxton (26.5 miles) offers a wealth of independent shops and eateries along with the Buxton Opera House. Built as a Corn Mill in the 18th century, this unique property has repurposed many of the original features including some of the original stone grinding wheels forming part of the kitchen floor and the table itself. This leads to a wildlife pond with resident moorhens and visiting ducks, please take care with children and pets.
