The owners have taken great pride in maintaining some original features whilst incorporating all the modern day necessities to make Swallows Loft an incredibly comfortable place to take a holiday to remember. Situated on the owners’ working farm, you and your family can lap up the day-to-day goings on of a working farm and even watch the chickens roaming around the gardens. Clustered around a courtyard, the barn is set in a rural location nestled in the Derwent Valley yet in easy reach of many of Derbyshire’s attractions, particularly nearby Matlock and Matlock Bath, Bakewell, Carsington Water and of course the wonderful Chatsworth House. Well appointed cottage with everything you need. Ideally situated to visit English Heritage and National Trust sites. Only suggestion would be to provide an information folder regarding recycling etc.

Me and my family stopped here it was peaceful and very tranquil! waking up to horses outside the window chickens freely running around to the stunning back drop of the beautiful country side hills , it was a lovely cottage too very nice and clean and extremely spacious the owner was very helpful and polite .
