Reviewers frequently commend the lodge for its cleanliness, describing it as 'spotless' and 'immaculate', indicating a high standard of hygiene and care.

The lodge's location is celebrated for its tranquillity and beautiful views over the lake, though some guests note it is secluded and driving is necessary for days out.

Comfort is highly rated, with guests finding the lodge cosy and the beds conducive to a good night's sleep. One mention of an uncomfortable bed suggests personal preference plays a role.

This flourishing, former mining community contains one of the village's oldest structures, a post office, a shop, and is conveniently placed in the National Forest near numerous picture-perfect communities and interesting cities. A nearby town called Burton upon Trent, which spans the Trent River and is known for its breweries and numerous award-winning ales, is situated nearby. Thank you. It was everything we were looking for. Nice welcome from the owner and a basket of food to start us off! The hot tub was brilliant, it was ready for us and all we had to do was lift the cover. Loved the view, and the location. Would definitely recommend to friends and family for a romantic getaway.

There's a coop nearby for anything you might need and plenty to do nearby. I would definitely recommend

A really nice self contained area we enjoyed and relaxed in. The view was stunning and the hot tub setup was fantastic. It can’t be faulted. If you want a 121 romantic get away. This is the place for you. Only issues were the bed being uncomfortable for us. To hard and it did impact sleep. However, this is personal taste and might be fine for others.
