Accommodating six guests in three en-suite bedrooms, Strawberry Lodge is the perfect base to enjoy all that Rutland, Leicestershire and the surrounding area has to offer. Situated in the middle of a working farm of 200 acres, with mixed produce of sheep, arable, geese and turkeys for Christmas, you are well away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to enjoy this wonderful county with its many attractions.
Central to four market towns – Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, Uppingham and Oakham (all of which are within 10 miles). Also just 10 miles away is the city centre of Leicester with the National Space Centre. The nearest village is Billesdon, just 5 minutes in the car and has a wonderful village shop, doctor’s surgery, post office, two pubs, an Indian restaurant, church and community centre with tennis courts. Rutland Water is just 12 miles away, where you can sail, cycle, bird watch, fish along with enjoying a super aquatic children’s play area.

I had a wonderful six-night stay with two friends at Strawberry Lodge. The lodge is beautiful â clean, bright, and airy, with amazing all round views. All the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the comfortable beds made sure we all had great nightâs sleep. The kitchen is well equipped for all our needs, making self-catering simple and enjoyable. We were delighted with the lovely welcome hamper on arrival, and it was so thoughtful of the owner to check in to make sure weâd arrived safely and settled in. Being surrounded by sheep and geese, and seeing the turkeys nearby, really added to the countryside charm and atmosphere. It was also such a refreshing relief not to be asked to strip beds on our final morning! A perfect, quiet, and relaxing stay â weâd love to return and would highly recommend Strawberry Lodge.

A great location on a working farm with gorgeous views. Very comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. A lovely breakfast hamper was waiting for us which if you arrive late is very welcome. Highly recommended!
