Guests say

Beacon Cottage is a charming and peaceful retreat, praised for its excellent location close to Skegness, local pubs, and countryside walks. Guests consistently highlight the relaxing hot tub, enclosed garden ideal for dogs, and the overall comfort and warmth of the cottage. The property is well-equipped and offers a cosy atmosphere, making it perfect for both families and couples. While most reviews are very positive, a few guests noted occasional issues with bedding freshness, maintenance, and the comfort of the sofa bed. Overall, the cottage offers a delightful and relaxing holiday experience.

Most guests found the cottage spotlessly clean and well-presented, with several reviews specifically praising cleanliness. However, a few guests mentioned issues with bedding and towels smelling musty or appearing less than fresh, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to Skegness, local pubs, shops, and scenic walks. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting and easy access to attractions, making it ideal for exploring the area.

The cottage is described as warm, cosy, and comfortable, with underfloor heating and spacious rooms. Most guests slept well, though some found the sofa bed uncomfortable and noted the property can get warm in summer due to limited window ventilation.

Facilities such as the hot tub, enclosed garden, and kitchen amenities are frequently praised. Some minor maintenance issues were noted, including a dripping tap, broken shower head, and garden furniture needing attention. The hot tub is a standout feature, though a few guests suggested improvements.

Guests appreciated thoughtful touches like tea, biscuits, and milk sachets on arrival, as well as helpful and accommodating hosts. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

It was quiet as we expected having previously stayed in Haven View. The grandchildren came for the day and enjoyed the enclosed garden and of course the hot tub!We are going again in the Summer with more family and staying in one of the big cottages. It's great the village and the train station are minutes away! The pubs are great and the food is really good

this was our third stay, we like the isolation but proximity to shops etc and the bird reserve at Gibraltar Point. The accommodation is warm and cosy, just right for the cold winter days. The only thing I would request is that before our next holiday in 2027, please could you provide a new pair of kitchen scissors, the ones in the rack keep falling apart!
