Just a short stroll to the river bank, these splendid cottages all have an enclosed garden with patio and hot tub, and offer lovely walks along the river bank and good cycle routes straight from the door. Salters Cottage (ref E5045), Chestnut Cottage (ref E5626) and Granary Cottage (ref E5626) are two-storey terraced cottages, and Field View (ref UKC2304) is a detached, single-storey barn conversion. Internally, these properties have been superbly converted and beautifully furnished and decorated.
Set close to the River Steeping, at the edge of the owners’ 80-acre arable farm, which guests are free to explore, there is the bonus of free river fishing within the grounds (license required). On the fringe of Wainfleet All Saints, and within a short walk, is a famous brewery which offers tours, an on-site pub and a bistro, these properties are perfect for exploring the area. Wainfleet All Saints is a quaint market town with an array of shops, pubs, restaurant and a railway station. The traditional seaside resort of Skegness is just 5 miles away, and has a lovely sandy beach and family entertainment, including the Fantasy Island theme park. The National Trust properties of Gunby Hall and Tattershall Castle are within easy driving distance. Visit bird and seal sanctuaries along the coast, or take a trip to medieval Lincoln, with its famous castle and cathedral, just 40 miles away, across the scenic, rolling Lincolnshire Wolds countryside. Beach 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

The cottage and staff were lovely, however, the cottage does need a little TLC. The fridge does not work properly, the double bed is falling apart, the table outside is falling apart and gives you splinters etc. Having said that it was all liveable for 7 days. Our main disappointment was that the location description was not accurate. The town is derelict bar 1 good pub and a coop, the brewery and the other couple of shops open and close (mainly close). Also the residents of the town made it feel unsafe and not somewhere I want my children. It is not a medieval town with markets and little shops. It’s boarded up.

This is our 3rd time staying at the Grange. Our first 2 times staying in Salters cottage. Chestnut cottage has everything you need and Chris the caretaker was always on hand should you need him. Our daughter loved the hot tub and chorine levels are checked everyday. Cottage was very clean on arrival and a nice welcome pack to greet us. There are flies with being next to the river which is to be expected, so I would recommend maybe a deterrent. However, they do provide fly spray. Our dogs loved the garden and walks by the river. Close to Skegness and ingoldmells. We also visited Hardy’s Animal Farm which our 3 year absolutely loved, as did we.Thanks for a great holiday. We will defo return 😊

Accommodation was a well presented and very comfortable.Host Chris was friendly and was helpful when we had an issue, which he sorted straight away. Would definitely recommend.
