The lodge is appreciated for its quiet, green surroundings and proximity to local attractions. However, one review mentioned overgrown views and untidy outside buildings, and another noted the narrow, in-need-of-repair roads.

We stayed from 4th of November as we were looking for a peaceful location away from fireworks with our two rescue dogs. It truly was peaceful- beautiful surroundings so we enjoyed lovely long walks and spotted so much wildlife. The lodge was amazing - we have stayed in many lodges, but none as well equipped as this one. A lovely lounge and dining area, amazing kitchen with utility room, family bathroom, twin bedroom and master bedroom with walk in wardrobe and large en-suite. Everything was immaculate- towels provided which were soft and fluffy. There was a wrap around decking with a seating area where we enjoyed a relaxing glass of wine listening to the owls and other birds. It truly was a magical stay and obvious that the lodge was loved by the hosts rather than just a business let. Thank you for the welcome basket, tips on local walks and details of the nearby dog friendly beach. See you next year

The owner had provided some fresh fruit, milk and a plumb loaf a Lincolnshire specialty, and some treats for our dogs which was very thoughtful. The lodge was warm and comfortable and very quiet. We were able to walk our dogs on the caravan field in front of the lodge each morning which was very handy.

The outlook was overgrown through one of the lounge windows, some of the outside buildings were a little bit untidy. We would have preferred it if it hadn't been so out of the way, as some of the roads were in need of repair and quite narrow.
