Guests say

Windyridge is a well-loved cottage praised for its cleanliness, stunning views, and direct beach access. Guests appreciate its cosy, spacious interiors and well-equipped facilities, though some mention challenges with steps due to mobility issues and occasional pests. The property's charm and location make it a favourite for many repeat visitors.

Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, with specific mentions of clean bathrooms, kitchens, and provided linens. One mention of a silverfish sighting suggests vigilance but doesn't detract from the overall high standards maintained.

The location receives high praise for its spectacular views and proximity to the beach. The unique position atop sand dunes is a highlight, despite the steps which are clearly advertised and can be challenging for some.

The cottage is described as cosy and spacious, providing a comfortable stay. However, the presence of pollen beetles and the steps to the property have caused some discomfort for guests.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a good level of equipment and extra touches like beach toys. Some minor issues include the need for a sharp kitchen knife and a dustpan for sand, as well as a comment on pest control.

While guests have not mentioned any specific gifts, the owner's responsiveness to issues and provision of beach toys suggest thoughtfulness. However, without explicit references to gifts, a score cannot be provided.

The bin instructions need updating. The bin shed near the cafe is covered in ivy so no lock, and the bolt is hidden behind the ivy. There also isn't currently any recycling bin there, despite keeping it separate.

We enjoyed a great family holiday and whilst the house is in excellent condition we loved the old 1930's touches like the meat safe still in the old fashioned larder. If you are looking for miles of empty beaches and fresh air, this is an excellent choice.

‘The steps’ - challenging esp when unloading and loading! Having said that u are made fully aware. Definitely not for those with mobility issues. For us the views well worth the effort
