To the east is the traditional seaside resort of Skegness offering miles of sandy beaches, while inland the west is the Cathedral City of Lincoln, famous for its Cathedral, Castle, cobbled streets, and vibrant Brayford Waterside area where you can enjoy lunch as you watch the boats cruise by. You can enjoy many miles of excellent walks and cycle routes throughout the Lincolnshire Wolds with many villages having tea rooms and village pubs on your travels for refreshment.
Each barn has underfloor heating for a lovely luxurious feeling after you’ve taken of your footwear after a day walking or cycling both for which the area offers many good routes. Situated in between Horncastle (4.8 miles) which is well known for its antique and collectibles shops and the small town of Woodhall Spa (4.5 miles), with a very good range of shops, tea rooms, restaurants, and the famous Kinema in the Woods to enjoy. Lincolnshire was known by many as bomber county during wwii and you can visit The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight at Coningsby or see Just Jane the wwii Lancaster Bomber at the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre at East Kirkby. The area has many good restaurants and pubs with the nearest3 miles away at Thimbleby. Shop 4.5 miles.

We had a fantastic break in this beautifully presented cottage, set within its stunning grounds. It was the perfect base to go and explore Lincolnshire. Lovely to be able to walk our little dog on the fields too.

Was a lovely cottage to stay in. Plenty of space. Great location, 15 mins in car to Horncastle & Woodall spa. Just a couple of concerns, for large dogs the garden fencing isn’t safe enough, we had to have our dog on the lead in the garden as she could jump the fence, (we have a German short haired pointer) so that wasn’t ideal, also it’s not very private as you have your neighbours and if your dogs are not friendly they can see the other dogs in there gardens too with a small fence. The stairs, needs some sort of gate at the bottom to stop dogs from going upstairs, as it states dogs not aloud on furnishings. We ended up using the dining chairs to stop the dogs from going upstairs which wasn’t ideal. Also the electrics kept tripping out through the night. Not sure why, kept having to reset the cooker for it to work.Apart from those small things, we had a great time. Not sure we would return due to the garden.

Fantastic accommodation , great garden for our dog, very secure, close to 2 great villages , Woodhall Spa and Horncastle. Very nice 4 night stay, would definitely return!
