Guests say

Nightingale Lodge is praised for its spaciousness, comfort, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests enjoy the charming presence of friendly chickens and ducks, and the property's convenience for exploring nearby attractions. The hosts are commended for their hospitality. Some guests mention traffic noise and a need for minor repairs, but these do not detract significantly from the overall positive experience.

The lodge consistently receives high remarks for cleanliness, with guests noting it as clean and well-maintained.

The location is appreciated for its rural charm and proximity to local attractions, though some guests note the presence of traffic noise due to the nearby A52 road.

Guests find the lodge comfortable, with special mentions of comfortable beds and central heating. However, a few guests suggest that the sofa needs replacement and the shower was broken.

The property is well-equipped with amenities like a smart TV with Netflix and a well-laid-out kitchen. Points are deducted for the mentioned broken shower and the suggestion that some areas could benefit from additional investment.

While guests express appreciation for the host's hospitality, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Fabulous warm cosy, spacious, cottage. Needs new sofa, support has gone. Everything else was wonderful. Surrounding area beautiful. Many nice villages and towns not too far to travel to. Hosts fabulous.

Lovely cottage, very comfortable and warm. It was much bigger than we thought. Kirin met us and showed us around the cottage, pointing out various instructions for the oven and dishwasher which was useful. The lounge had a smart tv and had its own Netflix account. Bedroom was a good size and the bed was really comfortable, it also had the benefit of an en-suite toilet and wash basin, the shower was broken and Kirin did inform us of this. Great place to stay, quite a few places to visit not too far away. Chickens and ducks visit the garden and it was lovely to see the ducks bathing in the puddles before we left..

Nightingale Lodge is a fabulous property with everything you could possibly need.  It is spacious and comfortable and even comes with its own Netflix account.  It is well placed to explore the area with much to see and do nearby while Grantham is only a short drive away for shops and other amenities.  It was also very convenient for the event I was attending at Grimsthorpe Castle, which is worth a visit in its own right.  Kirin is a great host and provides a warm welcome.  The chickens are very friendly and the ducks will make you laugh!  The proximity to the A52 is not a problem - it's not particularly busy and is quiet at night.  I have already booked a return visit for next year!
