Hot tubs
The hot tub is cleaned, checked, and refilled with fresh water after each guest. This can result in the hot tub taking a few hours to heat up so please be aware of this on the day of your arrival.

I took my two boys and dog away for a 4 night break. The lodge was amazing, so much space, so clean and really well equipped. The site itself is still under construction but was so tranquil and full of wildlife and autumnal colour. The hot tub was the icing on the cake, well maintained, clean and checked daily by lovely friendly staff. I would revisit and recommend to friends and family.

We stayed in lodge 12, it was very spacious and clean and had a lovely hot tub on the large enclosed veranda. The shower room and bathroom were nice but needed shelves for toiletries and hooks on the back of the doors.The lounge/kitchen/diner is very large and had a nice feel about it although a couple of lamps would be nice so you don't have to have the bright overhead lights on all evening. The sofas aren't very comfortable if I'm honest but ok if you sit lengthways!It's important to be aware that the site is still being developed and there was only one other lodge occupied that we could see. This made it feel rather spooky at night as there is no lighting outside.We did enjoy our short break here but there are some issues that need to be rectified to make it a really good:Some lighting around the site is needed, it's very spooky at night and it would help in avoiding the huge amount of goose poo!The knife block only had 3 knives in it that weren't very sharp and was missing the most important knife for us, a bread knife. Cutting an uncut loaf of bread without a bread knife was interesting to say the least!The oven is painfully slow to heat and cook, I gave up and microwaved our food.The external doors are difficult to open and close.The hall flooring is bulging in one part making it super squeaky.Hooks on back of bedroom doors.As it has a hot tub, I wrongly assumed that there would be bathrobes for getting in and out of hot tubs without scaring the neighbours!Water bowl for dogs in the dog friendly lodges.Terrestial tv, not everyone has accounts for iplayer/netflix etc.Update the info folder, some info was incorrect, we were alarmed to read that dogs were not allowed in the dog friendly lodges!First aid kit missing from the hall cupboard, I needed this on the day we were leaving as I cut myself.Despite all of this, we would return, we just felt it could be so much better.
