About this property

Originally built to be an artist's studio, The Garden House is full of light and character. The 360 degrees of beautiful windows bring the outside in, and keeps you feeling connected to the outdoors, even when you're curled up on the sofa.

This haven of peace and quiet stands on the edge of a small cluster of buildings at the end of a long tree-lined drive and boasts stunning views over open parkland and ancient woodland, all of which are easily accessed from your own front door.

The Garden House is a unique open-plan space, tastefully furnished with a mixture of contemporary and traditional pieces. The double-height living area features a large table, bar area, two comfortable sofas and a Smart television. The bedroom area is very cosy, with a working fireplace and french doors out into the garden. Outside, the garden is private with outdoor seating and a firebowl and barbecue to enjoy. There are many wonderful plants and a lovely view out over the parkland.

Underfloor heating runs throughout; the bathroom has a generous shower and you will find the kitchen well-equipped with utensils, cutlery, crockery, microwave, oven and hob.

Although Lincolnshire is believed to be flat, you will find yourself surrounded by beautiful low hills and sweeping valleys. The nearest town is Grantham, around 4 miles away, which will serve all your basic needs; or for a more romantic day out, the historic market towns of Oakham and Stamford are nearby, as well as the beautiful city of Lincoln.

Roam around Burghley House and their Garden of Surprises, or visit Belvoir Castle with all it has to offer. Keen walkers and cyclists will enjoy a trip to Rutland Water, the UK's largest reservoir.

Additional Information:

Comfortable, well equipped accommodation in a beautiful area. The owner was friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a peaceful and relaxing break. Perfect.

Nice quiet location with some pleasant towns and locations to visit within fairly short drives. The accommodation is excellent. Warm, comfortable, well stocked with everyday living essentials. As it looks in marketing photos it feels very grand on a small scale. A winters break for us but I’m sure the garden and courtyard would provide for very enjoyable summer breaks.
