Retaining many of its original features, it provides accommodation which is predominantly on the ground floor and has the benefit of its own private walled garden and patio area with a gated entrance. For anyone wishing to relax and unwind, a wood burner and underfloor heating makes it suitable for year round breaks, and a lovely country pub, with beams, log fires, fine real ales and delicious food, is only a 15-minute stroll away. There are plenty of lovely country walks straight from the doorstep and the quiet country lanes make cycling a real pleasure in the surrounding area.
For those wishing to explore a little further afield, Lincoln, Stamford, Newark, Oakham and Uppingham offer antique centres, National Trust houses, castles and museums, and numerous pubs and restaurants abound to cater for all tastes. Those interested in wwii can visit the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre, both only a short drive away. There are numerous golf courses nearby including the National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa. Rutland Water also offers various water sports throughout the year, and the circular track around the reservoir provides walking and cycling for all ages with bikes available for hire on-site. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
A security deposit of £250 is payable to the owner 7 days prior to arrival and it will be returned in full subject to satisfactory check out inspection within 48 hours of depature. Couples and family groups only.

The Stables proved a five star base from which to explore Lincolnshire and it's many attractions. The cottage was fitted out to the highest of standards and our hosts Guy and Hilary could not have been any more welcoming. The setting right at the end of the small hamlet was quiet and peaceful, with empty roads and even deer to watch out for along the lanes. Attractions included the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, International Bomber Command Centre and along the costs the North Sea Observatory and Gibraltar Point to name a couple. Great food could be found in nearby pubs including the Crown & Anchor and Green Man.

Fantastic property!We made a last minute booking at The Stables after my Mum had to have emergency surgery during our holiday at another property in the area. When it became clear we were going to have to unexpectedly extend our stay in the area we were so pleased to find The Stables as it was an ideal base for us whilst to-ing and fro-ing form the hospital. Once my Mum was discharged, it provided us with a relaxing place for her to recuperate before attempting the long journey home. The beautiful, peaceful, rural setting of the property was just what we needed and the owners, Guy and Hilary, were so kind and helpful (and even leant us equipment for my Mum) making the stressful situation we were dealing with much easier. The rural location is very quiet and picturesque and offers a selection of country walks from the door. The building itself provides bright, spacious, relaxing and sociable accommodation and the courtyard garden is such a peaceful suntrap. The inside is decorated to a high standard and is well equipped with everything you could need for a pleasant stay, whilst Guy and Hilary provide a friendly welcome and are on-hand for any queries. Despite our booking being due to very difficult circumstances, we had a most enjoyable stay at The Stables and couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you so much, Guy and Hilary.
