About this property

The Vicarage is the perfect setting for a very special gathering of extended family or friends. Boasting exquisite furnishings throughout, with the added bonus of a separate games room to keep all guests happily entertained whatever the weather, The Vicarage allows you to be transported to a bygone era of elegance and class in this handsome house which is equipped with all of the 21st century comforts you could wish for.

Located along a private track in the picturesque village of Great Limber, The Vicarage is ideally located for guests to enjoy this beautiful part of the Lincolnshire Wolds, on foot, by bicycle or by car.

Once you step inside this magnificent house you will delight in how its period charm seamlessly blends with stylish modern furnishings and traditional finishing touches that the owners have thoughtfully provided. Full height windows flood the drawing room and formal sitting room with natural light and generous sumptuous seating allows you to sit back, relax and take in the stunning views across the gardens. On those dark winter evenings you can close the original wooden shutters, light the fires and enjoy a cosy evening relaxing with friends.

The dining room has retained all the charm and character of an age gone by where to dress for dinner is certainly the order of the day. The centrepiece is the large table made from local wood and surrounded by stylish upholstered dining chairs. For less formal dining, the large kitchen has a large breakfast table with stylish chairs, stools around the central island and sumptuous comfortable seating around the wood burning stove.

The kitchen is well-equipped with all you need for making preparations for those important celebratory meals. The separate utility room has a washing machine and wooden pulley drying rack.

A wide oak carpeted staircase leads from the main hallway up to the first floor where six tastefully furnished bedrooms await you. Each one has been individually decorated to complement the style of this stunning house. Equally, the bathrooms have all been sympathetically restored to cater for modern day guests' needs, featuring a combination of walk-in showers, baths and all have underfloor heating and heated towel rails.

Outside, to the front of the house is parking for up to ten cars, and from this central courtyard you can access the original prayer room which is now a games room with its own wood burning stove.

The main garden of The Vicarage can be found to the rear of the house. Mainly laid to lawn with a low stepped terrace, it leads on to a small private wooded area with pathways leading through.

This exceptional house is the perfect choice for those looking for something extra special, for either short or longer stays.

Amazing property with just about everything you could possibly need, (I took tea towels after reading another review and also kitchen sponges). VERY helpful team in office as we could not find the bbq, so they produced it, presumably from storage. Bedrooms beautifully furnished as were all the rooms downstairs. Absolutely loads of crockery and cutlery and every piece of kitchen equipment you could want. Whole house felt homely, warm and welcoming. Would book again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful property, spacious and well decorated. Kitchen had all you needed with 2 minor exceptions. There was only 1 dishcloth and 1 tea towel provided? However a lovely welcome pack awaited us, full of varied produce, some local. The fires were left prepared ready for us to use which we appreciated as we arrived on a cold winters evening. A perfect venue for a multi generation family to gather.

Lovely property, although cleanliness wasn’t great. Lots of crockery and cutlery needed to be washed by ourselves as they still had food on them. Bedrooms had not be hoovered, especially under rugs so we needed to do that. Heating the house was an issue, and had to call out the plumber who was very efficient, and put in an interim solution for us. Some windows very old, and drafts, and water constantly running down them. Very poor lighting outside the property. We enjoyed the week and drove around some of the surrounding areas/walks.
