About this property

Stepping into this beautiful semi-detached property is like stepping back in time, and the gardens are its crowning glory. Situated on the outskirts of Carlton-in-Lindrick, Pringles Orchard is an excellent base for touring Lincolnshire and the Peak District. The cottage has three bedrooms on the first floor, including a double room, a single room and a family bedroom housing both a double and a single bed, making it perfect for groups of friends and families. A staircase leads upstairs to a second floor attic room, with an additional futon bed and a sloping ceiling. There is also a bathroom with a freestanding bath and separate shower, a kitchen and a conservatory. The formal dining room is the perfect place to host a family meal, followed by a cosy chatter around the woodburning stove in the sitting room. From the patio at the back of the cottage, the verdant lawn leads delightfully to a pond strewn with water lilies. The garden continues to enchant with an orchard, a stream, a wild garden and secluded areas that are perfect for whiling away the hours with a good book, or capturing the perfection onto canvas! The village of Carlton-in-Lindrick is close to Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park, both fantastic locations for a day out and picnicking in the sunshine. You can also easily visit the Peak District National Park, and Sheffield is 18 miles away, while the city of Lincoln is just under an hour’s drive away, perfect for a shopping day or history, with a visit to Lincoln Castle. There are many wonderful things to see and to do nearby, making this fabulous cottage a wonderful holiday destination for all!

Carlton-in-Lindrick is a village in Nottinghamshire, approximately three miles north of Worksop. The village has a selection of shops and pubs, including the Blue Bell and the Grey Horses Inn, so you have all the essentials on hand for your time away. Featured in the Domesday Book, the village has links to Saxon times and the local church bears testament to this. The 'Devil Stone' stands outside the church and is the subject of many local legends. Carlton-in-Lindrick had a bike making and repairing business, built up by Mr Fred Hanstock, which eventually became Carlton Cycles until it was taken over by Raleigh. The village is a wonderful base for exploring the surrounding countryside, situated a short drive from the Peak District National Park and less than half an hour from Sherwood Forest and Clumber Park.

This is an unique property, very spacious and comfortable (heated well, comfy beds, clean, well-equipped), with a huge, gorgeous garden to enjoy. This is a special place indeed! Expect to birdwatch, as well as glimpse horses over the creek. The garden has a large trampoline which was a treasured and unexpected find!! The owners were very kind to decorate the house for Christmas, leaving treats such as chocolates, biscuits and wine for us. Thank you! We highly recommend. Will and his family are lovely as well.

Spacious inside, lovely rooms, A large and comfortable conservatory with amazing views. The garden is beyond fantastic. It’s just enormous and so beautiful. The pond with the fish and frogs and the stream with the Kingfishers were an absolute joy. The children in our party just loved it all. I can’t recommend this property highly enough for all the family to enjoy. We will definitely hope to come back one day.
