Situated opposite the village green and the river, this thoughtfully converted, semi-detached cottage, provides a lovely holiday base to relax or from which to explore the area. Good walks and cycle routes are all around and with the likes of Chatsworth House, The Peak District, Mansfield, Sherwood Forest, Nottingham and Newark all within a short drive there is plenty to see and do. There is a good selection of shops in the village and with the Jug and Glass public house next door there is somewhere convenient to enjoy the local beer and food. Shop ½ mile, pub 10 yards and restaurant 4½ miles.

Lovely location, the pub next door does great food and drink and is really nice being able to pop to and from. The staff were friendly and helpful.It was a really nice break away and got lucky with the weather.

Second time we've been. Suits us really well with the dogs. Pub grub next door a real bonus. Hope to go again. Perhaps needs a bit more cutlery.

We had a lovely weekend staying at the Jug and Glass cottage. Very comfortable and clean with everything you could possible need. Great location in a very pretty village, excellent pub couldn't get any closer with lovely walks and lots to do in the area. Will definitely go back one day.
