The well-maintained lodge offers a well-stocked kitchen and unexpected amenities like a dishwasher and washing machine. The lack of WiFi and shops nearby is noted, but the natural setting and opportunities for fishing directly from the lodge add to the charm. A great base for exploring Lincoln and beyond.

Reviewers consistently mention the lodge's cleanliness, describing it as 'lovely clean' with no negative comments on this aspect.

The location is appreciated for its peace and proximity to a lake, ideal for fishing and relaxation. However, the mention of limited phone signal and distance from shops suggests a slightly less convenient location for some.

Comfort is highlighted with the lodge being described as 'very comfortable' and 'well equipped' for cooking, relaxing, and sleeping.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-stocked kitchen and bonus appliances like a dishwasher and washing machine. Some dated items and the absence of WiFi are noted, but overall, the facilities meet guests' needs.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

A lovely cabin right on the edge of the lake.Would have preferred the decking to be enclosed so that the dog could sit outside. Some manuals/instructions on how to operate the heating and the microwave would have been useful to us "old technophobes".

Lovely clean and peaceful site. We stayed in the log cabin, me, my partner and 2 dogs loved the site and the lodge. We found the lodge well equipped and very comfortable. Phone signal was not good, so WiFi would be a good addition but was not a big problem as we could completely switch off. Fishing straight from your balcony was great, well stocked lake. 1 mile walk the local pub for food and drinks.
