The Snug is a well-received cottage in Southwell, praised for its cleanliness, welcoming touches, and prime location close to local attractions. Guests consistently mention the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as spotless and very clean. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to the positive experience of the stay.
The location is generally well-regarded, being close to the town centre, Southwell Minster, and local amenities. However, a few guests noted it was slightly far from the centre and mentioned a busy road, slightly lowering the score.
Comfort is highlighted with mentions of a comfortable bed and lounge. Some guests found the sofa low and the stairs steep, which could affect comfort for those with mobility issues.
Facilities are appreciated, including a well-equipped kitchen and contemporary bathroom. However, some guests reported issues with the rear garden seating, dishwasher, and wear on pots and pans, indicating room for improvement in maintenance.
Many guests were delighted by the welcome packs, which included items like bread, milk, and coffee pods. While these gifts are highly appreciated, it's important to note that such amenities may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

A lovely little cottage which fits in plenty and works for four people even though it is small. Host excellent and very helpful.

Delightful place, just a short walk from Southwell centre. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay whilst attending a wedding at nearby Norwood Park. A Christmas tree and tasteful decorations in the lounge was unexpected surprise. Thoroughly recommended.
