About this property

The Alwalton (Pet) is a charming lodge nestled in the peaceful countryside on Rockingham Forest Holiday Park near King’s Cliffe, Northamptonshire. With parking for two vehicles and a secure outdoor decking area, this single-storey retreat is designed with both families and groups in mind, and welcomes up to two well-behaved dogs. Step through the door and you’ll find a thoughtfully arranged interior where natural textures and clean lines create a calm, modern feel. The open-plan layout encourages connection, with the kitchen, dining, and lounge areas flowing seamlessly together. A breakfast bar invites casual bites, while the fully equipped kitchen, with gas hob, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, makes mealtimes easy.

Entertainment is taken care of with a Smart TV (via Chromecast), Bluetooth speaker, and USB charging points. The lodge offers four bedrooms: two doubles, one with its own Smart TV, and two twins, providing flexibility for different group arrangements. There are two en-suite shower rooms and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath, giving everyone space to get ready without a queue. Dog-friendly touches like a basket and bowls make four-legged guests feel welcome, and a cot and highchair are available to hire (with the cot suitable for the living area only). Outside, the enclosed decking is furnished for dining or simply enjoying the fresh air.

On-site, guests can explore woodland trails, let little ones loose in the play area, or make use of the barbecue and picnic space. With golf courses nearby and a Shop and bistro within easy reach, there’s plenty to enjoy beyond the lodge too. The Alwalton (Pet) offers a grounded base for those looking to explore the countryside at their own pace.

King's Lynn is a historic, medieval port dating back to the 12th century, situated on the River Great Ouse. A treasure trove for history lovers, the town boasts grand merchant houses, art galleries and museums, and the Custom House, built by Henry Bell in 1683, which is a Grade I listed building. The town retains its original winding streets and alleys, and boasts good shopping facilities, with a combination of national retailers and specialist shops, along with a selection of pubs and restaurants. Much of the surrounding Norfolk countryside is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the West Norfolk coastline within easy driving distance. Hunstanton, in particular, is renowned for its sunsets and lovely beaches. Boat trips are available from several points along the coast, while the Norfolk Coast Cycleway runs from King's Lynn to Cromer. The impressive Visitor Centre at The Queen's fabulous country retreat, Sandringham, is also a short drive away and well worth a visit.
