About this property

The Folkesworth (Pet) is a charming single-storey lodge on Rockingham Forest Holiday Park near King’s Cliffe, Northamptonshire. With designated parking for two cars and enclosed outdoor decking, this pet-friendly retreat welcomes two well-behaved dogs and is thoughtfully arranged for families or groups looking to spend time together. Step inside and you’ll find a modern interior shaped by clean lines and natural textures. The open-plan living space flows between the kitchen, dining, and seating areas, encouraging shared moments and easy conversation. The kitchen is fully equipped, featuring a gas hob, fridge/freezer, wine climate cabinet, breakfast bar, and coffee maker. Entertainment is provided via a Smart TV (accessible through Chromecast), Bluetooth speaker, and USB ports.

The lodge hosts four bedrooms: two doubles and two twin rooms, each with its own Smart TV. All bedrooms benefit from en-suite bathrooms, two with walk-in showers and two with a shower over bath, offering privacy and flexibility. A cot and highchair are available to hire, with the cot suitable for placement in the living area only. Outside, the enclosed decking is furnished for alfresco dining or quiet moments in the fresh air. The hot tub adds a luxurious touch, ideal for unwinding after a day out. Beyond the lodge, woodland trails weave through the landscape, a play area offers space for children to roam, and a dedicated barbecue and picnic spot invites relaxed outdoor meals.

Golf courses are nearby, and a Shop and bistro are within easy reach. With its generous layout, pet-friendly welcome and tranquil surroundings, The Folkesworth (Pet) offers a memorable base for exploring this scenic corner of the East Midlands.

King's Lynn is a historic, medieval port dating back to the 12th century, situated on the River Great Ouse. A treasure trove for history lovers, the town boasts grand merchant houses, art galleries and museums, and the Custom House, built by Henry Bell in 1683, which is a Grade I listed building. The town retains its original winding streets and alleys, and boasts good shopping facilities, with a combination of national retailers and specialist shops, along with a selection of pubs and restaurants. Much of the surrounding Norfolk countryside is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with the West Norfolk coastline within easy driving distance. Hunstanton, in particular, is renowned for its sunsets and lovely beaches. Boat trips are available from several points along the coast, while the Norfolk Coast Cycleway runs from King's Lynn to Cromer. The impressive Visitor Centre at The Queen's fabulous country retreat, Sandringham, is also a short drive away and well worth a visit.
