The nearby Rutland Water offers something for all and includes a Visitor Centre, shops, cafes and restaurants. Further afield are the towns of Stamford and Oakham with an excellent variety of independent shops, recognised retailers, character-rich pubs and range of restaurants as well as a weekly market every Friday. This is known as the playground of the East Midlands with water sports, nature reserves, an outdoor adventure centre and plenty of cycling and walking.
