Seven steps lead into the delightful open plan living space, where you can delight in peaceful evenings spent on the sofa, with a wall-mounted TV and DVD player providing entertainment. The Carriage is extremely comfortable and fully equipped with everything required whilst on holiday. It has a definite charm. The location was, for me, ideal. It is away from the normal hustle and bustle and being positioned on the edge of a lovely meadow gives a fantastic view across the Essex countryside. The peacefulness and tranquility was welcomed as were sightings of various birds, deer, hares and a beautiful hot air balloon overhead on my last day. The location was excellent for the places that I wanted to visit. James was extremely friendly and helpful.

Very comfortable, well equipped and the owner obviously thought of everything you could need for a very good holiday. The peace and quiet was a welcome respite from urban living and we loved it. We can't rate it high enough! We will return and have told all our friends about it.

A lovely surprise welcome hamper with local produce in it. Lovely walks around it. Everything you need in there and so comfortable. Definitely recommend a stay there.
