The property boasts a beautiful living/dining room with seas of natural light, a selection of eye-catching house plants, and a plush sofa for your relaxation, as well as a second dining table. This pretty space opens up onto the enclosed garden, a walled space with a patio ideal for alfresco dining as the sun sets overhead, and why not spend an opulent evening in the hot tub? When sleep calls, settle into one of the four bedrooms, beginning on the ground floor with a bedroom which is a multi-use space, a handy room that can be a double, two singles or a sofa for flexibility, serviced by a sleek shower room.
On the first floor three plush double bedrooms await, serviced by a bathroom. Located on the western main hub of Mersea Island, a multitude of watersports can be enjoyed such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and kitesurfing, as well as fishing and crabbing opportunities aplenty. There is also bike hire available in the village, ideal for exploring the island on two wheels. Refueling is easy with the wonderful selection cafes, pubs and restaurants nearby and you should definitely aim to try some of the famous Mersea oysters, grown by local families for generations. The island is also ideal for those with a keen interest in the outdoors, with wonderful wildlife, walking and cycling to be relished in abundance.
From the east of the island, during peak times, you can also catch a ferry to Brightlingsea to sample some of the famous fish and chips on offers and marvel at the rainbow-coloured beach huts. There really is so much to do on this beautiful island and you’ll want to return again and again to this wonderful holiday cottage. Head over to the beautiful beach and spend a day paddling in the waves, or why not check out the scenery of Cobmarsh Island and Sunken Island with a riverside walk. Countryside walks can be found within the beautiful Dedham Vale AONB, Hamford Water National Nature Reserve, and Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape, whilst the historic city of Colchester houses several museums, many quaint shops and cafes, and Colchester Castle.

West Mersea is a lovely town located on the small island of Mersea in Essex. Just nine miles south of Colchester, this island has been a settlement for 2000 years and is positioned on the East Coast of England. Explore West Mersea, where you can relish fresh seafood at The Dukes Seafood, discover the fascinating exhibits at the Mersea Island Museum, or enjoy fishing with Essex Sea Fishing. Take time to relax on the sandy shores of West Mersea Beach or set off to Monkey Beach for some family fun. A short drive away, the historic town of Colchester awaits, boasting attractions such as Colchester Zoo, where you'll encounter a variety of wildlife and the impressive Colchester Castle which offers insight into the town's rich history. Don't miss the vibrant performances scheduled at the Colchester Arts Centre or a round of golf at Lexden Wood Golf Club for an enjoyable day out. Further afield, Chelmsford invites you to wander through the Chelmsford Museum and take a leisurely stroll around the beautiful Beaulieu Park.
